Interactive prototype - "Change to" not available on my prototype

Hello the community !
I am Sarah and am very new on Figma

I am trying to create interactive component thanks to the interaction tool.
But when i when to change the state when hovering, I can not select the interaction “change to”. Do you know why ?

Change To interaction disabled, variants not selectable

Interactive components are created among variations, and you want to do from an instance. The variants are in the purple outline frame. It is in this frame with variants that you can use “Change to”.
