I think I can speak for many when I say this – why isn’t there an editable Figma app for the iPad yet? Many designers lean heavily on their iPads these days – they’re literally our sketchbooks. Figma has literally let up multiple generations of iPads, hell, even the Apple Pencil.
Figma, one of the most used tools in the UI/UX world, isn’t adding itself into the iPad’s app store, insane. We’re talking about a device that’s practically a mainstay in our workflows, yet we’re left juggling other apps that don’t hit the same mark. Sure, there’s a cost to developing an app for a new platform, but let’s be real – the iPad’s been around for a hot minute.
And it’s not just about convenience. This is about staying relevant, tapping into the full potential of what our tools can do. We’re in a world where adaptability is key, and right now, Figma’s holding out on us. The competition’s already there as well, every day Figma isn’t on the iPad, it’s just another day that they fall behind. We have apps like Canva, Miro, Figure, Adobe, hell even Photoleap that somehow picked up the memo and made editable ui/ux/draw/sketch apps for iPad.
So, Figma, I think it’s time to make a move. We’re waiting, when the hell will you guys catch up?
