How to stretch font in Figma?

How to stretch font in Figma? I seared a bit but did not find any answer. The scale tool does scaling but it is not allow ratio free scaling, what’s the solution then?

I’m Figma you will only achieve this converting the text on outline.

I know that man. But the text is not editable, I need a non destructive way to stretch the font. Figma should have native option to stretch a font. I am looking for workarounds but outlining font is NOT the workaround. Thanks for your time buddy.

There are no workarounds. It’s simply not possible.

Exactly. Like how we do it in photoshop. Adjusting just the font height with Vertical scaling is quite useful.

until today there is still no official solution to this problem

Actually, if u right click on your text and click on the “Flatten” option u can pretty much stretch your text as tall and wide as you’d like!
You’re welcome ;D

my hero  :raised_hands:

Just published the Stretch plugin to support this.
Figma does support independent axis scaling, although it’s not exposed in the API (hence the need to go through the clipboard), but you can now scale your text without flattening it (remains editable).
