Hello! Is it possible to have a GIF play continuously across transitions within a prototype? Currently, at each transition, the GIF will restart from the beginning.

I want to mimic the idea of a live camera feed and interaction with blended virtual items in an augumented reality app.

Thanks in advance!

Use only one frame for your prototype, and put the gif on that frame. Then overlay it with an interactive component. This way you never have to change frame. Instead, your interface will live inside the component variants.

Hi, did you find a solution to this? I want to add a gif timer on my prototype but at the moment the timer resets on every transition. Thanks!

As @Avokadomos suggested, you can nest the prototype in a way to keep the gif outside of it. I.e. don’t switch frames, switch component variants.

I made a quick prototype to demonstrate:

Thank you, your file is really useful!
