Gauge animation from Button press?

Hi,
My first time posting here.

I am learning to do some animation and struggle to make an interaction of a slider when a button is press. So I have 2 buttons Volume up, Volume Down and a Gauge ( volume ).
I want to interact with the gauge ( moving like a slider ) when I press either buttons and the gauge need to stay at the position after I release my finger. Is it possible?
