Figma is terrible at prototyping and wireframing

Puky

I’m a product manager and co-founder and tried replacing Whimsical/Visily for protoyping with Figma so that I can create interactive wireframes and colab with my team.

I just started using Figma for this and I have to say, the learning curve is steep, very steep. It takes me much, much longer to prototype something, which gives me all the common elements I need to quickly put together screens, etc.

Using Figma is a total pain where I need to find every single detail and sometimes takes me hours to figure out how to do the most basic things.
You have to create every component for wireframing or having to copy it one by one from a UI set. A complete waste of time and the UI doesn’t help. I absolutely hate it.

You won’t find many people commenting on Figma shortfalls here, and there are many. Reddit is a better arena for what you’re talking about.

Figma is a cut-rate jack of all trades, master of none.

Visily is much better for what you’re trying to do.
