Question

Display exisiting website inside frame

Hello,

Is there a way to have an exisiting website, for instance apple.com, displayed inside a frame? I’d like to create a figma design that has a frame that displays multiple exisiting websites. I suppose kind of like “mini browsers” placed inside a single frame.

I tried searching for solutions using iframes, but havent had any luck. Any suggestions? Thank you.

I am curious about this as well. I have some iframe content which I’d like to use as a proof of concept for a design, where I’m developing interactive code within the context of the iframe itself and I would like to preview the interactivity via my phone but via the figma design display I’m prototyping. So basically the “frame” of the iframe would be able to run just like it would in the browser. Is this possible?

I think we’d need a “Place iframe…” option along with the other shapes and things for that. At least, that’s how it works in other tools. Mind you, a lot of (most?) sites have frame-busting stuff to prevent them being shown inside frames. So it may not be that useful for your purposes even if Figma did have it 😦

I wouldn’t mind it for most of the web that protects against it (which is should!).
My use cases are more for demos and demonstrating a particular use case (not of Figma, but of prototyping at large)
