In the Web version I can open the same document into multiple tabs. This is useful (especially with multiple monitors) for:
Editing between different pages at the same time
Checking things while writing a comment
Seeing different zoom levels at the same time
Seeing Prototype and Design modes at the same time
I’d like to have the is same flexibility with the Desktop app.

You can open the same file in a new window.

So this solution isn’t the thing the OP asked for. I for instance don’t want two windows open, I want one window and two tabs open to the same project, different page.

How is that better than just switching pages?
The reason I asked about my situation is I wanted to see different views of the same file at the same time.
