Bug - "Current Variant" description should not override the parent component description

If you put a description on a component (1.jpg), that description is visible in all of its instances. But if you add a description specific to one of its variants (2.jpg), then instances of that variant only show the description for that variant - they lose the description in the parent component. The main description of the component is gone.

“Current Variant” descriptions should be used to add detail on top of the component’s main description. For instance a toggle description might say “This is a Toggle for turning things on and off,” but the description on the Critical state might elaborate on it: “Use the Critical state when the user may be inconvenienced by accidentally activating the toggle.” But both of those descriptions should be visible in the instance, otherwise you lose valuable info.

1: Description on a component

2: Description on a single variant

3: That instance no longer shows the main component description, only the variant’s.
