Ultimately, if Autolayout could more closely follow Flexbox behaviour, it would allow greater interoperability between Figma and HTML/CSS, and would help designers create layouts that are more natural to implement using modern CSS features.

This would be particularly useful when managing components with many variants. It would be nice to have the disabled state buttons shown below in their own column instead of a row. There’s no easy workaround either because you cannot add frames inside components to manage the layout of variants.
