Hello everyone! Somehow Figma design started to show tags on video in canvas. Not in jam, not in dev mode or prototype, just basic canvas.
Didn’t find any options to turn it off, figma support agent didn’t help. I have no HTML tags option in right sidebar, no annotations enabled and such, how can I turn them off?

Hey everyone! Thanks again for your patience and for sharing your feedback. I made sure to share it with the product team 🙂
Great news, Figma now has a design-specific behavior where the video tag and controls will only appear on selection. This is currently rolling out to all users these next days.
We hear you, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your thought! 🙏

These grey gif labels never showed up on the figma canvas before the last design update. Now this is all I see in this document. I don’t know what is triggering them or how to turn them off and they are distracting. Is anyone else seeing this?

Thanks for the update, but…. “the video tag and controls will only appear on selection” is still not very good, as a developer might still selects the frame and misinterprets the controls as part of the design. Is there anyway to just turn the tags and controls off for the file?
Hey, thank you both for sharing your feedback! Please note it is currently rolling out to all users over the coming days. @Luongnd : I will pass it along to the team for consideration! @Jennifer Kyff , thank you for flagging it, I’ve informed the team for further investigation.
Any chance we can toggle this feature on canvas off completely? It’s incredibly distracting and seeing it on selection does’t really solve the problem. In fact it highlights it in the element I need to work on. Super rude and hostile.
