Slides improvement - Automatic page numbers on Slide Decks

An awesome feature for the new Figma Slide Decks could be to have automatic page numbers. Writing long decks and having to manually number every page is a huge time waste.

Moving slides around and manually fixing page numbers is also a huge time waste.

Would be super helpful to have a textbox that automatically has the page’s number in it. And have it automatically update whenever the slide is moved around.

We are looking at switching to a solution different from Canva, and the lack of automatic page numbers is the entire reason. Please bring this feature to Figma Slides.

How it’s possible it’s not implemented? Rearranging or adding slides to long presentation is such a chore without this!

I have been trying to find information about page numbers for Figma Slides. Best I can tell we aren’t able to use plug ins for slides yet (last note I found was 6mo ago). Two questions

1. Is there an estimated delivery date for this?
2. What are people doing (besides manually adding) about page numbers. Maybe manual is the only way at this point, but I thought I would ask.
