Question

Share "Make" prototype without AI chat, preview/code toggle, or publishing

Is there a way to turn off the AI chrome when sharing the prototype in "Make"? When sharing in the prototype view, I was expecting it to just share the screens but when I shared the link, it showed the make file with the AI chrome. Is this a big? Or will this be an enhancement?

If you don't want to publish (that makes it public to anyone with the link) and you don't trust the "&fullscreen=1" trick some people mentioned above (viewers can still flip back to the editor), the only reliable workaround right now is to pull the output out of Make entirely and host it somewhere that's just a static page, instead of linking straight into the Make file. That's effectively what a real "preview-only" link would be: a separate hosting step, not a Figma sharing setting.

Two things usually bite people once they do that on their own: sending the raw AI-generated HTML as a file means the recipient either sees the code, or you flatten it to a PDF/screenshot and lose the layout and interactivity. And when a client asks for one small text change, going back to the AI to patch it costs another prompt and can quietly rewrite parts you didn't ask it to touch, so it's easy to lose track of which copy is actually the final one.

We built NOS Workspace for that exact gap: paste the HTML, it becomes a page you can edit by clicking the text directly, the link stays the same after edits, and viewers open it without needing a Figma or Google account. https://nos-workspace.com/?utm_source=forum&utm_medium=comment

Correction to my earlier reply: I had not established that exporting and hosting elsewhere was the only reliable workaround. I withdraw that claim and the blanket statements about HTML files, PDFs and AI edits. NOS does not provide the Figma project access restrictions or prototype commenting requested in this thread.

I’m the NOS maker. It works with an existing HTML page, not the Figma Make project itself. Saving and creating a NOS share link require a Google or email account; readers need no login. The free plan allows 2MB documents and three active links. Upload or embed images and test the page first. Anyone with the link can read it, so this does not solve the confidentiality requirement discussed above.
