Share "Make" prototype without AI chat, preview/code toggle, or publishing

Another option is to click the "Open fullscreen view" button. Which is the "play" button next to the settings button.

It will open the prototype in another "fullscreen" tab, without the AI Chat, that you will be able to share by copy/pasting the URL from your browser. It should end with `&fullscreen=1`.

Be aware: People you share the link with could remove the `&fullscreen=1` parameter from the URL and still end up in your actual Figma Make prototype with the AI Chat open. So still be careful you didn't prompt anything sensitive. Just in case.

Note: With this technique, for people to be allowed to access your prototype you still need to change the "Sharing" settings (under the "Share" button at the top).

you are still getting FIGMA AI logo and copy layers???? This will allow anyone to get into any of these files, no?

Agreed with all others here, this is such a basic requirement that it almost feels like a bug. We shouldn’t have to publish to be able to share without chat history.

There are various ways to satisfy this basic requirement.

Create a one time link, or a link that only works a preset number of times. 

Create a link or be able to publish with a password and email requirement, for example I add a clients or testers email address and they have to use a one time code sent to their email address every time they want to view it, i.e. a basic 2FA

I have the same issue. Our processes are extremely complex for sign off where we have to send links to multiple internal teams. Publishing each time to send an unpolished prototype is not ideal. I used to work in XD and it would allow us to generate links to share with teams, with commenting options or without or with full-screen mode or presentation mode. I much preferred the way Adobe XD did it.

It’s nuts that this functionality doesn’t exist and hasn’t been built in nearly a year.

To be clear, I want to be able to:
a) Share a prototype which can only be viewed (not edited), and obviously the prompt history should not be seen or ever accessible by anyone but me, or at most another party that was invited to edit - why would I want anyone viewing the prototype to see my private workflow?
b) Allow viewers to comment on it to provide feedback, which is the whole purpose of sharing a prototype with external or internal stakeholders - so the current workflow/suggested fix of publishing to a URL doesn’t fix this.

Surely being able to generate a prototype and allow comments on it, without a client or stakeholder being able to see your entire workflow (and the fact that you generated it with AI) is the sole purpose of generating a prototype in the first place?

It’s almost like the JTBD-thinking behind this feature is exclusively believed to be for entrepreneurs just vibe coding an entire website and publishing it, without needing any sign off or feedback from anyone else.

I am looking for the same solution. Why is there no possibility to share just a prototype link without letting the receivers have access to the chat history and conversation?

BTW: Opening it via fullscreen still gives them access to Make Editor, as it is possible to switch to Editor Mode (even without checking URL).

I agree, Adobe XD had this part of the process nailed down and understood its users and the design process better. You could share links to specific users, generate new links with different modes and comments were organised per page making it easy to work through and resolve.
