I’ve had this problem for a few months now. I used to be able to @ everyone involved in a project of mine. Over time, I’m only able to @ fewer and fewer people. Now, I can only @ one person in the project.

Is this a known bug or issue?

Agree @David_Ilizarov

We just started a Pro ‘Team’, and when I created a file I could not @mention everyone on that team. Workaround is to invite them to the file, then it works. But this should be active by default. Not going into every file and adding every member one by one to mention them in comments.

@figma thoughts?

I turned the topic into a product idea, feel free to vote for it. 🙂

For what it’s worth - I’m not a power-user for Figma. Designers I work with use Figma, and so I need to go in and comment accordingly.

For a non-Figma user, this just seems fundamentally broken.

Also, while I understand @mentioning is based on who has access to files, who is a contributor, etc. I started this post because I’m pretty sure what is happening in my case is a bug and unintended.

Nothing has changed in the project regarding who can contribute/view/etc. yet the list of people I can @mention continues to shrink. I was told by one of the designers that this might be a browser cache issue. Nonetheless, I think it is a bug worth looking into and I’d be open to speaking to a PM or dev about this in more detail to get to the bottom of it.

If you think you found a bug, you need to send the details about it to Figma support team via support@figma.com or the support request form. They are not actively monitoring this forum.

It would also be helpful to set up specific team members assigned to each file, and be able to @all to those specific members only, rather than the entire team.

We’ve just discussed this with my design team. Would be useful to be able to tag @all avoiding tagging 10 members in the comment. @Figma_Support would that be possible for the next update ? 😃

Yes, please implement an @all mention option. This should be basic functionality!

Hey All, thanks for the feedback and sorry for the lack of acknowledgment!

The community team here is not associated with the Figma_Support handle. Anyhow, we’ll pass this idea onto our team for future consideration!

What if the dropdown when you type ‘@’ was a multi-select? You would be able to click on multiple people in one shot…

Or make it that you can hold down Shift and it keeps the dropdown open so you could click on multiple people
