[LAUNCHED] All plans should offer more than 4 variable modes

It would be great if the professional plan offered more than 4 variable modes. Right now I want to set up a mode for each component size-- XS - XL, 5 sizes all together-- which puts me over the 4 limit for pro, but well under the 40 limit for enterprise, which is a quantity I will never need. And there’s no use case for enterprise at all for a team our size.

I think 10-12 modes for pro would be perfect to give small teams like mine room to grow before we reach the scale where an enterprise plan would be worth consideration.

It’s finally here - mode count updates across Pro and Org.

Pro → 10
Org → 20

Post having watched the release notes: PLEASE I AM BEGGING FOR MORE MODES - PLEASE FOR ALL its so unattainable to ask a team of 2 to pay $75/month for more modes … what if the client that we are handing off to doesn’t have an enterprise plan and need to update something? This is just so upsetting

The most frustrated thing is that it is not even $75. I contacted them to upgrade to enterprise for our 3 accounts and I was told that the enterprise upgrade is only possible with a minimum contract value of 5.000 EUR.

I think it’s time for some of us developers to create an open source “Figma Alternative”, these things happen when one go-to tool suddenly decides to be a jerk and doesn’t listen to their customers.

The Figma team is still silent… I was looking at pricing last night, and there are still 4, 4, and 40 variables in purchase options…

I wonder what will happen when competition shows up (and it always shows up).

I think the most maddening thing about this is: If adobe give you the suite of apps at any price, whether student or designer it was all the same once you got access.

What Figma does is they limit features based on your plan.

In order to get 40 modes you have to pay more money than everyone else, but if you try to change ownership of that file to a different organization because maybe your consulting, or a start up, etc…, well then they can not use those extra features like 40 modes because they do not have the enterprise license they only have the professional.

So - again I reiterate my point. At Config Figma stated they really want to focus on small teams, but this is cutting those teams out completely. Super frustrating

For me the most frustrating is not just the choice of limit. But the rationale behind it ánd the total silence on the forums. No matter what people ask on here, it is completely ignored. Is the company in chaos or something?
