[LAUNCHED] All plans should offer more than 4 variable modes

It would be great if the professional plan offered more than 4 variable modes. Right now I want to set up a mode for each component size-- XS - XL, 5 sizes all together-- which puts me over the 4 limit for pro, but well under the 40 limit for enterprise, which is a quantity I will never need. And there’s no use case for enterprise at all for a team our size.

I think 10-12 modes for pro would be perfect to give small teams like mine room to grow before we reach the scale where an enterprise plan would be worth consideration.

    It’s finally here - mode count updates across Pro and Org. 

    Pro → 10
    Org → 20

    Any update on this. I want to push my company to invest in Organization level, but right now having the same amount of modes limits the value.

    I can not stress enough how more modes should not be gate kept based on plans - ESPECIALLY for small business (one person studios) who want to hand off to other (one person studios) that literally cannot afford a more expensive plan, nor do they need it.

    PLEASE MAKE MORE MODES FOR ALL!!!

      I totally agree! Why not limit the number of text fields or images or grids or autolayouts as well?.. I hope the CEO never reads this comment.

          It’s crazy to see that, compared to Figma, all apps from Adobe combined are a bargain.

            So, it is now end of September and the last time anyone from Figma piped in regarding this topic of capped modes was in June of last year. I certainly expect responsiveness from “community support” staff than a single comment on over 14 months 😕

                As a team lead in a smaller company it just dawned on me that it would require a huge bump up in pay to be able to have more than FOUR variable sets, when it’s limitless in development.
                I then hoped I would be able to at least just change my seat to enterprise and increase my subscription with roughly 60 euros/mo, but that’s not doable either since you have to fill x amount of seats for enterprise as well.

                Figma, this is unbelieveable. There’s no reasonable explanation for why it’s not available to professionals.

                  Thanks for the heads up! You just saved me a lot of time, I would’ve wasted on finding a solution with Figma.
                  This is such a frustrating move from Figma.
