Dear Figma Team,I hope you're doing well.I would like to share a suggestion regarding the prototype experience in Figma, specifically within the presentation view.Currently, when presenting a prototype, if we need to adjust settings such as selecting or changing the mock device frame, we are required to switch back to the workspace. This interrupts the flow of presentation and affects the overall seamless experience—especially during client demos or usability reviews. It would be incredibly helpful if prototype settings (like device frame selection and related display options) could also be accessible directly within the presentation window or tab. This would allow designers to make quick adjustments on the go without leaving presentation mode, making the experience smoother and more efficient.Such an enhancement would greatly improve usability and streamline workflows for designers who frequently present interactive prototypes.Thank you for considering this suggestion. I truly apprecia
Can we have it so there is an option in settings which would automatically activate Mirror instead of having the user tap some button to activate it?I use the Mirror feature 99% of the time that I’m using the Figma Mobile app - I know I’m not alone. It’s getting pretty tiring tapping on the little “Mirror” button in the notice every time, or in the nav. Wish it would just automatically switch to Mirror if I wanted it to.
I just want to copy a single section I need on Figma Make instead of the whole site which is taking longer time and many layout errors occurring (lacking of UI elements, especially the animated elements)
the type of connectors is not enough for creating an Entity Relationship Diagram. The One-to-One , One-to-Many and Many-to-Many connector heads should be added too.
How to send or import multiple frames to Figma Make from a Figma Design file?It seems that it is possible to send one frame to Figma Make and it will create a new Figma Make file from that one frame. However, when multiple frames are selected (e.g. different screens of the same prototype) then the “Send to Figma Make” option disappears.I can also see an option to Import from Figma, but the interface for this is terrible when you have thousands of Figma Design files in your enterprise and they each have multiple components within them. Worse still, it seems you cannot import a frame, only components that have been published. Is there something I could be doing differently that would make it easier to import multiple frames from a Figma Design file into the same Figma Make file? As a designerI want to be able to import multiple frames into Figma MakeSo that I have an interactive prototype of what I have designedGiven I have multiple screens designedWhen I select those multiple screensThen
FigJam is great, and the open session feature is so helpful 😍 However, after running several workshops with first-time FigJam users, I think it’d be even more helpful in a few ways: Onboarding new users: This could be done in one of a few ways: Create an up-to-date template discrete How-To sections (eg, How to zoom, How to create a sticky). Make it easy to remove parts if it gets too detailed for your audience. I know other there are templates with great instructions in them, but they’re all out-of-sync and embedded in other templates. Might as well make it’s own thing and keep it up-to-date. Better option: Create a tour that guides new users around the interface very briefly, focusing on moving around, stickies and following a spotlight. Non-editable sections: Having first-time users able to edit, move or delete entire sections is a bit horrifying. The other day, a user (their first time ever seeing FigJam) accidentally deleted an entire section by accident because they ha
I saw that C# isn’t currently available in the list of recognizable Code Block languages. If possible, adding it would be greatly appreciated!
Components in my Figma style guide are named to match our Android Studio UI library conventions, which helps developers, but makes searching feel unintuitive for designers. It would be great to support two distinct name fields per component: a designer-friendly display name for search and browsing, and a developer name that maps to the code library. This would let both sides work in their native language without compromise.
Frequently, when facilitating a workshop in FigJam, it is necessary to gather open and honest feedback from attendees, such as during a retrospective/health check. In other tools, such as Miro, it is possible for people to provide opinions and vote on topics anonymously. Anonymity really helps to get people to express themselves and thus get the most constructive engagement. Having moved from Miro to FigJam the lack of this feature has proven really problematic and decreases the value we can get from the tool. There are some plug-ins that provide a limited version of this, however they require manually selecting each instance of the plug-in and selecting to reveal results, which is really inefficient and often for my purposes, unworkable as a solution.
The new slots feature is awesome, and has been super helpful for my team. I have, however, run into a recurring issue. The outermost frame for a component can’t be a slot. If you have a slot it has to be a child of the component. This can cause some annoyance if I have a super simple thing where the only element in a component is a slot. With this I have to add auto-layout the component itself and add auto-layout to the slot, which is redundant. It can also cause problems because if I want to change the alignment of an auto-layout element, I have to make sure I’m clicking the correct one since there are two.Component layer which only has a slot child layer.
Loving the addition of CMS to Figma Sites, however the options to add components or component instances to the CMS from a Design System would be incredible for using CMS for Design system documentation. Currently the title, rich text, link and image options are great but taking this to the next level with components would completely eliminate the need for 3rd party documentation platforms.
I believe it would be great to have the ability to create sections or pages within a Figma Buzz File. While I appreciate the ease of using the rows, I would greatly value the option to have distinct columns or sections dedicated to different campaigns within a single file.
We could have a “Update and show next” button near “Update instance” button that would significantly improve usability by allowing users to apply the update, briefly review it, and automatically move to the next item without extra navigation (I mean having to click the (>) button). It would be important to ensure that updates do not result in the loss of texts and icons, nor cause the appearance of components that were not intentionally selected. According to the design system team, Figma may sometimes lose component IDs depending on the type of update applied to the design system, which can lead to these issues. I would love if we could move over the file every time I navigate to the next component so I can see it in it’s real place without having to click thebutton. The problem I see here is, in a lot of situations components to be updated are actually hidden elements so, when the canvas navigate to it, I can only see the “selection box” but not the real component (Since it’s hidd
Hi all,Have you considered adding a feature to the auto layout “gap” feature that could allow a user to set a minimum gap i.e. 8px and a maximum gap i.e. 40px?I’ve recently needed this function for building bar graphs. I need to make them responsive without getting too small and overlapping on each other or too big when expanded.
I haven’t found this in “coming soon” for variables… As it works now, a variable can control properties only of the topmost component instance. You have to assign a variable again and again to each instance each time you place it, you can not nest components with variables at all.
Please! Add padding between scroll bar and icons in the design side panel. Auto layout icon especially. I keep accidentally triggering the scrollbar when I try to click the icon. Can we add 8px or 12px of padding?
I would like to add images from my computer to Figma Make without prompting AI. I’d like to add it in manually as this would be much faster (and save the planet from burning GPUs).Is there a way to easily do this with code at the moment? Is this a feature Figma is working on?
I think that’s the new feature “nested components” need to be more functional. For example: I have a card with nested component button. But the only parameter that i need to edit is icon on this button, all other settings useless in this component. I thinks it will be cool if i can disable some of nested component’s paramters like show icon or btn size and leave only icon-type parameter. And it will be more cool if i can make preferred icons for nested component (in this card i can choose between filled like or unfilled)
Hi Figma team,I recently created a Figma site for my app and really love the experience. However, I need to upload a file called app-ads.txt to the root of my domain. This file is required by AdMob to verify ownership of the app and allow us to display ads.Is there any way to host or upload this file directly in a Figma site? Thanks in advance!
As a developer, I would like to be able to sort the “Ready for development” section in the left pane by most recent changes. This way I could know what changed more easily than having to scroll through hundreds of elements trying to find what might be relevant.
In FigJam, it makes sense that tables have a computed size based on the size of the rows and columns. However, in slides, it might make more sense to have width and height be a fixed properties of the table. I’m finding myself having to resize the table constantly to fit it within the slides / margin guides.
I recently ran into a serious issue while working with different primitives in a large file.It may be an edge case, but when it happens, it is something very difficult and time-consuming.After renaming one primitive that was used across many layers, the file ended up containing several “missing variables” (which you can't find by searching). Some layers still referenced variables that were no longer visible or easy to find. The result was an inconsistent document where certain modes (for example Dark Mode) were still applied somewhere, but there was no clear way to locate them.In a complex file with thousands of layers, this becomes extremely difficult to resolve. I eventually fixed it, but it required manually checking large parts of the document.Right now, we can search for many things in the file (components, layers, text, etc.), but we cannot search for primitives and token that are applied to layers.A feature that would help a lot:Allow searching for primitives and token in the do
Hello, I really hope in presenter mode, the presenter notes could remain at the bottom rather than displayed on the side. I believe many presenters rely on notes, and having them on the side can cause unnatural eye and head movement, which may create a less polished impression, especially in interviews.
We do many presentations in multiple languages and the process is extremely cumbersome as each time we make a design change in one presentation, we have to duplicate it in all different languages. What would be a killer is the introduction of a Text Layer in Figma Slides. You would select one text layer across the deck and build the whole presentation in a given language. You could add another text layer that would replace the first one with another language etc. Hence, before presenting, you would select one particular language and here we go. If some design changes in the presentation have to occur, you make them in the “core presentation” and it would apply automatically to all layers. Think of the number of presentations that have to be duplicated to be translated in multiple languages today. It would definitely be a game changer and a reason for many companies to immediately switch to Figma (including ours).
Hi there! we are currently looking in to transferring our communication team to Figma Buzz. Previously we created templates for our socials in Figma and used custom widgets for specific cases like scalable text highlights with rounded inner corner etc.. We believe Figma Buzz might be the right tool for them since we can connect our design system libraries but unfortunately we are not able to use our custom widgets in Buzz. We tried to create a Buzz plugin but this only work in edit mode, not in template mode. would love to hear if the community encounters similar limitations in Buzz! have a nice one!Brecht
