As seen in the screenshot below, “hanging punctuation” has been activated on this text box, but the asterisk is not receiving this property. From what I can tell the only punctuation that works with this is a quotation mark. While that is a major use-case, another significant use is for Footnotes, which use a dozen or so different characters.


I agree. Asterisks, and even superscripts for a start, should be included in Figma’s text editing capabilities. I design in the pharma marketing business space and superscripts are everywhere. Please allow asterisks, and even superscripts, to be included in hanging punctuation. Thank you.
