Figma table feature

Hello,
Few months ago, I think Figma team said they were working on a “table” feature for FigJam.

  1. Do you know where I can find more information about this?
  2. Also do you know if this feature will also be added to Figma?

I know there is a way to create table in Figma with “Auto layout”. But if this is made in a component (part of a Design System Library) and a user would like to add row or column within an instance, it starts to be complex. That’s why I am looking for a “real” table feature in Figma.

    Most likely tables will be available to Figma (as it was with Sections). Otherwise, you can just copy the Table from FigJam.

      Thank you very much for your answer. I understand they cannot yet communicate on an exact timeline to release the table feature. I just hope it will be in Q1 2023. It seems that many designers around the world are waiting for it 🙂

        This FigJam table feature is very useful and intuitive. Is it coming to Figma as well soon? I can see many way to use that in a Figma file. I managed to copy-paste a FigJam table into Figma but then a lot of limitations apply (can’t reorder columns anymore, for instance).
