Reopening this topic as it was the closest topic I found on this was closed a while ago.

I’m wondering how the community is going around not having this feature in Project folders? I agree that having that level of organization in Projects helps a lot to keep clear paths to past work without the need to Archiving.

Any recomendations on how you address this while Figma doesn’t have this feature available more than welcome! And happy to provide more insight if the ask isn’t clear.

👋🏻 Hey @Giselle Patton and anyone following this request — update on this: This feature now exists!

Figma is rolling out nested folders. Projects are becoming folders you can nest up to 10 levels deep, so you can keep clear paths to past work by tucking it into subfolders rather than archiving — which sounds like just what you were after. You can also give folders colors to tell them apart at a glance.

Full details, plus a place to send questions to the product team during the rollout, are here: Rolling out: Projects become folders 📂 ✨
