Create one prototype across the pages in a file

😵‍💫 I can’t believe that this hasn’t been addressed yet; 4 years, wow.

I did, however, figure out a pretty simple workaround — at least for navigational/link purposes — that being [Action] > Open Link and linking to the relevant prototype frame. It definitely won’t work for everything, but it works swimmingly for navigating page-to-page in some situations.

@Figma PLEASE help us with this feature!!

Hi, currently trying to optimize a VERY large file, for our company’s SaaS app, and I wish this feature existed so we could separate each main submenu of our webapp into a Page.

We used to prototype for client demonstration so the “open link” workaround isn’t acceptable as the refresh takes you out of the prototype, but the slowness of the file is becoming problematic, and most of it is due to how much content is on the same page (checked with the memory tool).

Ridiculous that a simple feature like this hasn’t been implemented for years. I just left Proto for Figma and it was a huge let down to discover I could not set navigation between pages/screens. Simply unacceptable. I mostly design web pages, and there’s absolutely a need to have a way to “click-through” from Page A to Page B in the prototype.

I’d like this too. My scenario is I have some overlays that i’ve mapped out in Page-Overlay-Login, Page-Overlay-Qnboarding for example. 

I like having seperate pages because they are self contained pieces of functionality that have no bearing on the other pages. 

When i prototype in another page, i can’t use the layouts i’ve got in those page. I should just be able to say, open Login-Flow as an overlay. 

So my current solution is to use slots in components. I have a Mobile-Frame component, and i swap in a content Component where i layout all of the main functionality for the flow. 

This way, i can copy the instance of the Mobile-frame across multiple pages, which all reference my single source of truth for the content. 

Its a still a pain though, because you have to rebind the prototypes behaviours. But it means i can have a single source of truth and to some exent bring changes across pages. 

SHouldn’t have to do this though.

This would be a great feature for prototyping complex flows and interconnected features.

Link between prototype flows would do the job for me. eg. connecting a "tap" to start another flow. — instead of selecting a frame from any page in the file.  

As a Sketch user learning Figma, I just can’t believe this is not possible. I want to organize my components on a separate page. There a navigation element would of course have actions to be able to navigate my frames (webpages) on my Website page.
