Comments stick to object instead of position on layout

Really do need this. And it’s strange because if an object is NOT in a frame, the comment will stick to it, but you can’t pin comments to objects in frames. But I can see an issues like a comment being pinned to a group and then the group being ungrouped later, so I realize this is a hard problem overall. Hope this can be figured out!

On a second level, have comment categories with view/ hide option.
For example,

1. I can create a wireframe design and me, or a collaborator, move it/ copy-paste it anywhere and comments stick with it.
2. Moreover, I want to create and distinct comments for the development team, separated from the comment to the CX team, other comments for the UX Writing and copies team, and instruction for UI team, so every team may be able to hide unnecessary comments and instructions/ help the async. communication between teams.

Still need this!

Sticky comments - next little big update PLEASE! 🙏

It’s extremely frustrating that comments do not follow elements on the stage. If the UI/UX of a mockup is rearranged it gets very confusing to follow the comment threads for further updates as comments are fixed elements.

• Comments should be fixed relative to elements on your layers and not absolutely positioned.
• If a layer with comments gets deleting it should prompt a dialog window to delete (or fix the position) the comments with the layer.

Extremely required feature. Really.

Tips:

• Why not position comments same way as any other layers on canva?
• It is also good idea to have it on the objects (layers) list on the right, so we can see on which object it is positioned
• it should always have set flag “stack-positioning-toggle”, this way it never will affect to other objects positions.

Let me tell you right now, I’m doing the wireframes and copywriting for a fairly technical website (civil engineering stuff) and my client is very ardent in his feedback. In the sense that he’s kind of writing everything himself at this point. For the record, he’s trying to be helpful, not being a dick. He’s an engineer so go figure.

Anyway, the problem is that, in Figma, I currently have 193 comments scattered around four wireframes. You can imagine as soon as I move stuff around, a puzzle unfolds where I have to figure out which comment related to what piece of text, title, graphic,… Why can’t comments stick to the pixel of the layer they were pasted on instead of just straight canvas coordinates? How would that ever be useful anyway?

This sucks so bad it’s honestly mind-boggling.
