Annotating designs in prototype view

Team members and stakeholders often prefer to see an interactive prototype demonstrating a proposed design, but prototypes often imply the specifics of a design for a limited set of use cases, leaving a lot to be assumed if the audience does not read design annotations, or worse, if they are unaware they exist.

If I could show/hide the annotations living on a frame while presenting my prototype, I could quickly and easily refer to my annotations when and where I need to.

Same here. We got used to viewing the designs in a form of prototype. Having annotations visible there would be a huge deal. Currently, we have to use “Comments”. But they are utilized for commenting on the designs, which makes things messy. Annotations work better since they are tied to the element.

+1 this. When demoing prototypes it would help a lot to have my annotations from the design file visible to make sure I don’t miss highlighting key design decisions. It’s helpful for when stakeholders view the prototype later too, it gives more precise info on specific elements within the design, which is easier to digest than reading a complex and long prototype description. 

Can’t believe this is already a 5 year-old ask…. I also need this for my dev team. They like to view prototypes instead of manually move around the canvas in design or dev model. I need to be able to show them annotations in prototype view please please!
