Create tags that can be added to post it notes for user research analysis

This is a super important feature for us. We recently, when working with feedback, had to export from FigJam to Miro just to be able to work more efficient using tags and search + tags + grouping. Great feature request!

  • 1 to this request. Tagging made clustering the insights much easier in Miro. Right now, I give different emojis to different users in Figjam but I need to do it manually for each post-it. In Miro one could select all post-it and give them a tag in one click.

yes, it would be very helpful if we can create a tag in figmajam as well. hope figma can have this feature soon

This would be super useful for workshops.

+1. This is an essential feature.

If you want to do serious work involving complex subjects and multiple parties, then there is no way around tags. +1 Vote

I was really surprised that there ins’t a tagging system yet! This would be so helpful (and would convince me to really move over to figjam over Miro.

Please, PLEASE we need this feature. It is the one feature that Miro offered that makes me still consider Miro as the better alternative for qual analysis.

+1 for this feature - super helpful for research synth

Really need this feature to categorize data and revisit tags to perform qualitative user research

Yes would love to have something like tags. During user research quotes and usability issues are documented in stickies. Would love to add meta data like the participant number of step of the journey. When mapping all the results later someone would be able to understand which participants said what or group all the elements of specific step together easily.

YES PLEASE! This is something Miro has and I assumed FigJam would have. This makes our research so much easier to organize. Instead of who wrote it- the option of customizing that tag. or adding an additional tag system. This would be so helpful!

yes please we need this as researchers!

Mural does it well. In addition to visually grouping things it allows to search by tag(s) which comes in handy in design research activities like affinity mapping. Exporting a tag-based selection of stickies (as rich text) would be pure joy.

Another +1 here. My team is looking to switch our whole company from Miro to FigJam, and this is 1 of 2 features noted that is causing hesitation on making the switch. If tags were added to stickies and shapes, then this would solve most of the hesitation in making the switch.

There are many use cases for this. For example: feature idea, accessibility issue, todo accessibility, check guidelines, todo devs, todo UX, todo UA, todo PO, new ticket, rethink design, compatibility issue with frontend framework, etc… tags can be quite creative and flexible. Weird that Figma hasn’t prioritised this. Though prototyping in Figma is such a mess that I’d rather they fixed that first.

+1 to adding tags.

++1

We’ll switch from Mural when this feature is added. 🧀

+++1

Really hope it will be added in near future!

Another request for tags (or additional metadata) for sticky notes. Right now we work around this by adding keywords to the bottom of the stickies that we refer to with the find (⌘F) functionality. Proper tag functionality (and the analytics that come with them) would be ideal. Thanks!

This plugin is the closest I could find: https://www.figma.com/file/vAr7W4oigCUPe2Sd6dxLEb/Filtered-Sticky-Selector-(Community)?type=whiteboard&node-id=0-1&t=NLHCWzz5Bz9ocls4-0

Without this feature, FigJam is no competition for Miro. And it’s already almost there, author names are so nearly the same feature - I just need to be able to have one more field for ‘source’. Being able to tag sticky notes is critical to getting the job done.

Being able to automatically sort them into groups based on those tags is secondary but also very useful.

Bump! Need tags in FigJam.

Need to tag post its, I feel handicapped now analysing my research
