Please, for the love of everything mighty, add an item “Cancel request to edit” in the dropdown menu below the name of the file.
It happened to me several times that I clicked by accident on the “Ask to edit” button, on files that I REALLY didn’t want to touch, and the mere thought of the poor file owner wondering who’s that random guy who requested access to their own file is so embarassing to me…
@Hugo18 I can understand the need for this feature, but if it helps, I think file owners wouldn’t be too judgemental 😅
Just a note: I edited the topic title of your post to hopefully boost in search if others are looking to have something similar implemented.
Please propose the removal of the ‘Request to edit’ button from the latest UI3 toolbar. It does not represent a vital action that needs to be available at all times next to other tools that are being used on canvas. It is easy to misclick because it gets in your way; coupled with the fact that there is still no way to cancel this unwanted action, it makes for a terrible decision. I’ve made a fool of myself by accidentally pressing it, and there’s no way for me to stop the error.
