I can see why some people may dislike it but I feel like its a harmless and unique feature that should be kept, but it should something you can disable in your user settings if you dislike it.

Figma's design isn’t so cooperate that it feels out of place, I didn't even consider it was an April fools addition for the first bit as it fit in so well lol.

I can’t believe how stupid this is.  I literally have a 3600-word wishlist of missing and/or poorly-implemented features in Figma and of all the things you could be spending your time on, this is what you roll out?

FIGMA, PLEASE LET THOSE FIGPALS BE WITH US FOR GODS SAKE :-(((((((

Oh my gosh, I absolutely NEED this feature to stay and be expanded! Imagine being able to feed it, play games, and so much more! It would be like having my very own mini Figma Tamagotchi! How amazing would that be?! 😍

Some things I would like to change if these were to become permanent features:

• More Customization, like custom images for the body and hat
• The ability to have it follow your cursor without delay as that’s the one thing I don’t like about them.

Side note: from the chrome inspector you can find the SVG files for the bodies and the hats of these guys, so even if it doesn’t become a permanent feature, you could at least save your pal this way

Decided to use FigPal’s as part of a design challenge this week. I want them to respond to how I’m behaving in the file and the wider community,...Like If someone is being a joy thief...SadPal...etc etc..

If Figma does take them I guess I will always have him to respond to work…

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but there are other features that need to be fixed or enhanced that could have used the time and attention it took to create FigPal. My fellow UIX Designers at my job feel the same way.

Unfortunately, that's how they decided to 'keep it' — a great missed opportunity to maintain an engaging community and user experience identity.

Figpal was more than a joke, it delivered EMOTIONAL VALUE which deserves a stronger presence in todays products.Thank you Figma for delivering it and reminding me how designers can shape the world for better. Design can be warm and silly, and personalized. We need more of thisssss

Don’t know if someone asked before, but why not turn FigPals into a plugin?
If user’s keep using it, great. If they don’t you can slowly phase it out.

Alright, guys FigPals were the best (and weirdest) thing to come out of April Fools’ this year. They follow your cursor, help you design, and love you unconditionally… maybe too much. 👀

But here’s the problem—they’re only available for April Fun Week! 😭

We can’t let this be just a one-time joke. FigPals deserve to be a permanent feature (with a toggle for those who don’t want constant companionship). That’s why I made a Change.org petition to show Figma how much we want to keep them!
