UI3 Feedback

  1. What I can’t stand the most is that the panels of the new UI can’t be attached to the edges. They leave some gaps, wasting the space to display the main design and operation area. And visually, these gaps are also distracting my attention.
  2. The toolbar at the bottom also interferes with the main operation space, especially if its color is the same as my design draft. By the way, is it just for the convenience of novices to move it from the top to the bottom? If someone who uses Figma more frequently, he will use shortcuts instead of mouse clicks to trigger these functions.
So I hope that adjustments can be made in time in the official version of UI3, otherwise these redesign will seem like a subjective conjecture of someone who doesn’t use Figma much.

I hate this new UI and hate the AI tools. Let me revert back to the old one, you cowards

This is what happens when designers have a seat at the table.

I know you expected lots of negative feedback about being intuitive, because that takes use to normalize. However, your values / light to dark / layout spacing / clarity and scannability of the interface have GREATLY decreased. I cannot quickly look to the panel and find what I need. The contrast is far too low, especially in dark mode. It is truly unimaginable that a “ui ux” company would roll out this ui that no one asked for. Even if, under the hood, there were technical issues that needed to be updated such as panel behavior, so be it. But you somehow made it feel as if it were a more condensed interface, made it smaller / less readable, and slower to use. Have you tried to scan and quickly find the “clip content” checkbox in dark mode? I can’t believe you have. If you have, I am even more concerned.

Please focus on technical features, and roll back the look of panels to previous styles. Keep whatever you had to do under the hood, panel behavior, etc, but for the love of UX, business growth, UX principles and design standards, return the panel styles to their previous scale and contrast.

I was such a fan of Figma, both the app and the company. Now I hate these guys for taking away the tool I love and replacing it with something much more annoying and difficult to use. It is a change that didn’t need to be made, it was working perfectly.

R.I.P UI2! I was staying with you till the last😞 I can’t believe that people that have designed almost flawless UI2 could come up with something raw and ridiculous like ui3… Probably they have left the company. Update for update's sake, forced down our throats.

btw, imagine that situation like in the meme below has happened in figma office. The guy thrown out of the window is obviously suggesting to improve what needs to be improved and not to break what already works fine😂 Other guys are up to mimicking activities to justify progressing pay-wallification of the app. Well done y’all, thx a lot👏

I think this is the only solution, what do you think?

Been using figma since 2020 and I've had 0 issues with the interface since then. It was just perfect. Simple, clear, no unnecessary details or “design stuff”.

The new interface just looks ridiculous. Nothing but laughter and desire to go to the old version it does not cause. A huge amount of details, incomprehensible logic, an attempt to fit the visual into a strict framework, incomprehensible bars for text — all this made Figma a terrible tool. It now looks more like a crooked website made by a rookie designer who overplayed the plaques than a professional tool.

But if anyone really likes the new interface. Cool! You're welcome to use it. I don't understand why they removed the option to use the old one? It's just awful.

Looks like Figma is the first ever company in the World who created the perfect UI for designing tool and then decided: “Hm, too cool to be real. Trash it!”

Please return the old one. There was no need to fix what wasn't broken.
