Is it any way to receive notifications through the forum now? Email notifications are not very convenient.

How about notifications when some liked your comment? There is no way to know about it now?

Hi Figma Team,

Thanks for the new forum! It looks very great, but after just five minutes of using it, I noticed some big UX issues:

Lost Account
I lost my old account, even if use the same mail, I couldn’t access to it and had to create a new one, which is really annoying. (My old account still exist).
Confusing Topic Creation
I usually come to the forum to ask questions or suggest features. I was surprised to see that the firsts options are “Question” or “Conversation.” Why is the category hidden after the description? It’s very important! A suggestion isn’t a question or a conversation. Choosing a category first would make things much clearer !
Too Little Content on Screen
There isn’t enough content visible on the screen. The line height for topics is too big, and on desktop, I can only see about five posts at a time. Previously it was much more compact.
No Voting on Feature Ideas
Before, we could vote on feature suggestions and easily see what was popular. Now that feature is missing.

Overall, the new design looks nicer, but the user experience feels worse (for my usage). In hope you will continue to bring improvements to the new forum, Matteo.

1.Can you clarify if you mean your Figma or Forum account? For the forum, forum accounts are connected to your Figma accounts as you can only login to forum via Figma SSO.

2. Thank for the feedback. We have noted it and added to our list of improvements. In the meantime, for that category, you can choose “Conversation”.

Whoa, there is no option to add a video anymore. But how to help someone with difficult questions without adding a video? Video is also good for explaining a problem. Gif format is not a best choice for that because of its quality.

@Celine_Figma, each time you log in to the forum, the user's forum account avatar changes to the Figma account avatar.

Steps to reproduce:

Log in to the forum using your Figma account;
Go to https://forum.figma.com/settings/profile;
Change the avatar by uploading an image that does not look like the Figma account avatar;
Save the changes;
Log out of the forum account;
Log in to the forum using the Figma account from step 1.

Expected result:
The forum account avatar should match the image uploaded in step 3 of the reproduction steps.

Actual result:
The forum account avatar does not match the image uploaded in step 3 of the reproduction steps, i.e. it was automatically changed to the Figma account avatar.

Hey @tank666 , after checking internally, there is a limitation on our end. To ensure your profile picture (avatar) is accurately reflected in your Community profile, you'll need to update it directly within your Figma account, as the two are linked.
We've added this to our list of improvements. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause!

Hey @Nellya , I can confirm that videos are generally not supported directly in the Figma Forum. We recommend uploading your videos to external platforms such as Dropbox, Google Drive, or Loom, and then sharing the link directly in your post.

Please bring back the <kbd> tag (or even better, add it to the WYSISYG editor). It was a neat way to display keyboard shortcuts. Older comments with these tags are now barely readable, looking something like: ctrlshiftaltt. 🤢

Hi, @Celine_Figma. I tried to add a video uploaded to Dropbox and Google Drive in the comment, but all I got was just a link, video wasn’t embedded. Any suggestions why it happen?

I also tried to embed it, but got an error “The provided domain is not supported”.
