Hello!

I tried re verification for FIGMA student, but it was showing network error even though network was good, and continuously trying it was still showing the same error.

Then it started showing Verification limit exceeded.

So I contacted sheerID via mail, they responded with:

We were unable to process your verification request. And Your ticket has now been permanently closed.

I mail them again and again still got no solution..

If it's possible resetting the verification limit, please do it.

Please provide the solution for this issue otherwise I won't be able to re verify student plan.

I have also attached the image for better clarification.

Hey @sanketjopale — welcome to Figma Forum, and thanks for reaching out. I know it’s frustrating to run into this kind of roadblock. Since SheerID manages the verification process for Figma’s Higher Education plan, I don’t have visibility into the details of individual cases.

That said, I’ve shared your experience with the right folks on our side so we can keep an eye on it. If there are any additional steps or updates to offer, we’ll post them here: Updates to our Figma Education plan.

Thanks for your patience while this gets sorted out — and don’t hesitate to keep us posted if anything changes on your end.

I’m facing the same issue. Could you please help me with it, as the last date to verify is 29th September. It's URGENT

Hey @Tom Reem ,

I am frustrated now, it's been a half a month still there is problem and if I don't complete verification till this month end I might lose everything on Figma

I am requesting you again please help me with it to get the solution ASAP

And it's not only me having the verification issue there's lot of users here

Hi @sanketjopale and @Sonu Mehta — thanks for keeping me posted, and I’m sorry these issues continue to persist.

We’re working with SheerID to reset your verification attempts so you’ll be able to apply again.

@sanketjopale, when you have the chance, please re-verify with SheerID by logging into your Figma account or heading directly to: Get the free Figma Education plan for your classroom.

@Sonu Mehta, I’ve flagged your case for further review. I’ll circle back here once I have an update to share.

If either of you run into issues again after re-verifying, the best next step is to reach out through SheerID’s Contact Form. Since they manage the full verification process, they’re best equipped to investigate further. Please also keep an eye out for any emails from their team.

Hello,

I got the same response from SheerID and it told me it was unable to verify when I emailed them.

hello, i am facing the same issue, its showing verification limit exceeded.

Omg wow…

I’m also having this issue. Is it possible to get this verification deadline extended (like end of October) so that SheerID can fix this mess?

I am an educator and while trying to update/re-verify my account, I received the error message: “Verification limit exceeded”. I also contacted SheerID, but their process gave me an error and I could not complete the verification.

Additionally, I created a support request in Figma Help 8 days ago, but the status is still showing as open and I have not received any response yet.

Could you please look into this matter and help me resolve the issue so I can continue using the Educator Plan?

Thank you in advance.

Hello, I got the same response its showing verification limit exceeded. How can i fix this issue?

Hello

I’ve got hthe same issue hwere Ive been trying to reverify for a long time using the same credentials I used to sign up for figma educaion last year…..but now I’ve been show that myy verification limit has been exceeded. I have variopus files in my team that a lot of other students and volunteers depend upon.

A fix for this will be very helpful, as SHeerID has not replied to my last email for a long time.

Thank You

Sameen Sardar S

Hi I am having this same issue and I haven’t received any replies from SheerID that can help. I really hope this issue is resolved soon. Please help out here @Tom Reem.

It used to be pretty easy to verify the status earlier. And now I am spending days on a verification process.

Hi everyone — thank you for your patience while I get caught up on open conversations. I wanted to share a quick follow-up for those who’ve posted here since my last update.

After taking a closer look, it seems that several of you — including @김민지, @Sattar Nariman, @ANURAG KUMAR, and @Eunice Lee — have successfully connected with either SheerID or our Figma for Education team and resolved your verification. You should be all set.

For @Eva Indrani, @Sameen Sardar S, @p_sharma, @Acw, and anyone else still awaiting a response, here are the best next steps to move things forward:

  1. If your application was denied:
You can submit an appeal directly to SheerID with additional documentation using this form: SheerID Contact Form. Their team will review your appeal and confirm if your status can be approved.

  2. If you’ve already sent additional documents and were told SheerID couldn’t process them:
Please reply to their message and CC education@figma.com so the Figma for Education team can take a closer look.

Lastly, a quick reminder not to post personal contact details here in the public thread to keep your account information private and secure. For the latest, keep watch here: Updates to our Figma Education plan.

Appreciate everyone’s patience as this process continues — and thank you again for hanging in there while both teams work through the remaining reviews.
