Verification Limit Exceeded Error encountered after series of verification errors, SheerId has closed my request.

Hello Figma Team,

After receiving multiple errors trying to verify my account for an education plan, I finally received the Verification Limit Exceeded Error, and it will not let me submit any more verification attempts.

I tried contacting SheerID but was met with the “We were unable to process your verification request. While we can't offer further details or support for this specific inquiry, please ensure all information submitted is accurate and meets the eligibility criteria for future attempts. Your ticket has now been permanently closed.” message other users seem to be encountering. 

I need access to Figma education for my classes, and the documents I provided were the same as my classmates’ but only mine encountered errors, if there is anyone on this forum or anyone from the Figma team that can assist in getting my account verified or resetting my verification attempts that would be very much appreciated.

I’ve raised this with our Education Support team and will follow up here as soon as I have any updates to share. Thanks so much for your patience in the meantime.

Logged in today and looks like my account was verified for education use and I was able to upgrade my plan! Thank you for raising he issue internally!

I’m a teacher, and several of my students have the same issue. Their tickets have been permanently closed with SheerID, and emails sent to education@figma.com remain unanswered (I tried writing as well last week, and got no answer). What’s the next step for them? Writing to SheerID does not help.

 

To be clear, I’m not writing about an issue with my account. The problem occurs every new semester with several students, since Figma outsourced student verification to SheerID.

Hi ​@Etienne_Despres — thanks for raising this, and I’m really sorry for the trouble this has caused you and your students.

I understand how disruptive this can be, especially when it happens repeatedly each semester, and this isn’t the experience we want for our education users.

I’ve raised this directly with our Education Support team and highlighted that this is an ongoing, recurring issue.

I’ll follow up here as soon as I have any updates or next steps to share.

I’ve taken a look on my end and can confirm that the student is now verified. Everything should be all set.
