I am a student and we have a free student plan from our school. I am trying to verify my student plan but it says that I have exceeded the verification limit or I have already activated it. Although the role on my profile is set to Education > Student but when I join on Edu Teams, it wants me to verify my status and I can’t verify it because it won’t let me. I have already contacted SheerID but they take way too long on responding.

I contacted SheerID, but they told me they couldn’t resolve the issue and advised me to reach out to Figma customer support instead. I’m also experiencing problems with email verification. How can I fix this?

I am writing to you today because I'm experiencing a significant issue with my student verification for Figma for Education. I have a school-issued email address and have attempted to verify my student status about 13 times. I have submitted all possible documents, including my student ID, national ID, and enrollment certificate, but unfortunately, all my attempts have failed.

I have since been blocked from retrying, as the system shows an "exceeded attempt limit" message, and this has been the case for over two days. I previously reached out to SheerID for assistance, but I have not received a response.

I am a student who critically needs Figma for my coursework this semester. Could you please assist by resetting my verification attempts so I can resubmit the correct documents?

I am trying to receive my education verification, but a notification window appears saying that I cannot proceed due to exceeding the limit. I also contacted SheerID, but they informed me that they cannot resolve the issue. Could you please lift this restriction? I urgently need the verification for my school classes.

I tried re verification for FIGMA student, but it was showing network error even though network was good, and continuously trying it was still showing the same error.

Then it started showing Verification limit exceeded.

So I contacted sheerID via mail, they responded with:

I mail them again and again still got no solution.. 

Please provide the solution for this issue otherwise I won't be able to re verify student plan.

Hi ​@Salar — I hear you, and thanks for sharing that update. I just checked in with our Education team, and they’ve been working with SheerID to strengthen this process. If you’re still running into the “Verification Limit Exceeded” error, the next step is to reach back out to SheerID directly — they’re now able to reset verification attempts on their side. Please note that Figma doesn’t manually review user eligibility or documents, so SheerID is the right contact here.

If you're still seeing the "Verification Limit Exceeded" error, please reach back out directly to the SheerID team. As of today, they now have the ability to reset verification attempts, so they'll be able to get you moving forward again.

Just a quick note that Figma doesn't manually review eligibility or documents — SheerID manages the full verification process.

Figma has extended a grace period for students in the process of reverifying their education status. You will not lose access to your account or files on September 29. To ensure ongoing access, please complete your reverification promptly.

In addition, we’ve been working closely with SheerID based on the feedback in this thread, and they now have an improved process in place to help with “Verification Limit Exceeded” errors.

If you’re still running into this, the first step is to reach out to SheerID directly through this secure form: Contact SheerID Support. Their team now has the tools to review your case and reset verification attempts so you can move forward.

Hi, I encountered the same issue and have already contacted SheerID Support, but the problem has not yet been resolved. Could you please help me reset my verification attempts? I really need access in order to finish my project, which is due this weekend.


Hi, i received a response from sheerID support three days after my initial email, requesting my email address. I replied promptly, but it has now been over a day without any further update. Since i only have three days left for verification, i am concerned about the delay as i also need to complete my current project within this time. Could you please advise how long the process may take or if there’s a way to expedite it?

Hello. I’ve also gone through the same error over 9 times, and I have already reached out to the SheerID support teams numerous times. I think they have reset my account from limited verification, but the problem is that I’ve tried additional verification process and still I’m stuck with the same error.

I e-mailed the SheerID support team again, waiting for the reply.

I think this error won’t be solve by resetting the verification limit.

Please check my account and solve this problem.


Hello. I’m a student and with free figma edu plan from my univerisity. I tried 3 times and it appears “verification exceeded limit”. And I have contacted SheerID day before yesterday to help but they replied that they were unable to process my verification request as the screenshot….plssss help 

 


I’m an educator that has been teaching this class using Figma for 3 years and I’ve been shut down by SHEERID with the same useless ‘customer service’. This is just wrong. I lose access to my education account in 2 days unless they can fix it!!

they answered me: We were unable to process your verification request. While we can't offer further details or support for this specific inquiry, please ensure all information submitted is accurate and meets the eligibility criteria for future attempts. Your ticket has now been permanently closed.

Hello, I am having this same issue. I contacted SheerID and they told me to retry verification, however the Figma verification webpage still does not allow me to do so. I am hoping to receive any assistance, thank you in advance!
