SSL is not being issued - Awaiting Certificate over 24 hours

Domain: https://www.caligarden.com.mx

Our domain was connected with FIGMA and everything was working. We made a DNS change to implement weglot.com and it broke the FIGMA connection. We deleted all the DNS records, removed the domain from FIGMA and set it up again. All the DNS records were updated properly and the green checks were beside the CNAME, TXT and A records. Waiting over 24 hours and no SSL.

After waiting 24 hours, removed the domain from FIGMA, deleted the DNS, and set it up again. Now waiting over 2 hours and still no SSL. 

ChatGPT has reviewed the DNS, the Figma status and has provided the following:

 

Where You Actually Stand Right Now

✔ DNS globally correct
✔ CNAME correct
✔ TXT verified
✔ A record correct
✔ Figma confirms DNS validated

The only missing piece is:

🔒 Certificate issuance + attachment at Figma’s CDN edge

 

Opened a support ticket on Friday but have not heard back. 1757257 is the case number.

Hey ​@CPL — welcome to Figma Forum, and thanks for sharing your case number. I also appreciate how clearly you laid out what you’ve already tried — that helps a lot.

Firstly, I checked for other recent reports and this does look similar to a thread where removing the custom domain and then re-adding it helped trigger the SSL certificate correctly: SSL Certificate Not Being Created.

In general, SSL certificates are usually issued within about 15 minutes, but in some cases they can take longer. If it’s still pending after 30 minutes, one thing worth checking is whether your domain has any CAA (Certificate Authority Authorization) DNS records set up. If it does, make sure certificates are allowed from:

  • Google Trust Services
  • Let’s Encrypt
  • SSL.com

The link provided for the same issue the user deleted and re-added the domain 2-3 times until it finally worked. We have deleted and re-added the domain once. 

We do not have a CAA DNS record. (see attached DNS records).

It has been 48 hours with “awaiting certificate” status.

If anyone else has this issue to let you know what happened, the issue was finally fixed by Figma support on Monday morning. It was not an issue with our DNS settings, it was an issue with Figma that required a fix from Figma. The other post mentions deleting and re-adding the domain over and over again until it works, this may be a resolution but we did not try this.
