No at all. 

I asked some of my classmates. They said when they verified the education program, they were asked to upload school documents. But to me, I’m only required to upload a government-issued ID instead. 

I’m wondering if it is where the problem lies.  

I am also required to upload a government-issued ID, idkkk.

I understand that you reached out to SheerID to have your verification attempt reset. While they were able to reset it, you’re still receiving the message “We were unable to confirm your identity.”

If your application was denied, you can submit an appeal directly with SheerID by providing additional documentation.

Their team will review your appeal and let you know if your status can be approved.

I’ve already tried uploading additional documents through email but they said:

”While your submission appears to meet the necessary requirements, please note that we are legally not authorized to upload, store, or process verification on your behalf using any government-issued ID. For security and verification purposes, the government ID check must be completed by you directly. Unfortunately, we're unable to override or complete this step on your behalf. Please follow the instructions provided to complete the process.
 
Figma has strict requirements regarding the ID check process, which must be consistently followed across all requests. Our role is limited to providing guidelines and tips based on the error messages generated by the system.”

which means I cannot submit a document for them to verify. I have to go through this verification process while it is not working.  
 

Unable to Verify Governement ID – Request for Assistance

Dear Team,

I attempted to upload a clear and valid copy of my Card as proof of Government Identity, but unfortunately, the verification status could not be confirmed. I have followed the procedure as mentioned in the mail and on the portal, yet each attempt has failed.

Kindly advise if there is an alternative method or any further steps I should take to complete the verification process. Your guidance on resolving this issue at the earliest would be highly appreciated.

So i was trying to verify myself for Figma Student Pack, on uploading my government ID , it showed Failed and now i am not able to try again. I contacted SheerID but they did nothing and even closed my ticket permanently. So now i am stuck. I know SheerID fully manages your verification Process but now they are not helping and not even reseting my limit so i can try again.

I am a current student at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, India (MCA Program). I need access to Figma’s education plan for my coursework, but SheerID’s verification process has completely failed for me.

Here’s what has happened so far:

• I submitted verification multiple times with valid government-issued IDs (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, and Driving License), but each attempt was rejected without clear explanation.

• My official university student ID card has not yet been issued (it will take about a week).

• In the meantime, I can provide alternative proof such as university fee receipts, my MCA class timetable, or an enrollment confirmation letter.

• I have contacted SheerID several times, but they haven’t replied yet.
  
  Could you please help solve this or provide an alternative method of verification directly through Figma? I am more than willing to share my official documents directly with your team.

- I have also tried uploading different formats of the ID documents

Everybody with the same problem for weeks and still we are being instructed to complete SheerID form again and again : this is not working. 

Can Figma take this problem seriously? We must be hundred or thousands educators and students unable to do our daily tasks because of your poor verification system.

Please try to solve this as soon as possible…...

They are clearly indicating that we should move forward with a subscription.

Dear FIGMA Support Team,

First, I uploaded a picture of my driver's license to verify my student ID, but Sheer ID rejected my ID.

So I changed it to a passport photo and tried to upload it again, but Figma kept saying that the number of certifications was exceeded, preventing me from uploading the image of my passport.
 

I've emailed Sheer ID several times, but the problem hasn't been solved.
 

Please try to solve this as soon as possible.

I’m experiencing a similar issue and have been unable to get verified through SheerID, despite reaching out multiple times over the past two weeks — including six tickets with their support team, as well as contacts with my school IT team, the Figma Education team, and Figma Support. Each time, my request was closed with the same generic response from SheerID: “We can’t verify your government-issued ID based on the information you provided.”

On the Figma side, I was told: “Unfortunately, Figma cannot manually verify documents or reset verification limits, as this process is exclusively managed by SheerID. We recommend reaching out to the SheerID support team to request a reset of your verification attempts. They are best equipped to assist with these specific issues.”

This has left me stuck in a loop with no clear resolution. I would be very grateful for any support in resolving this issue, as the process so far has been extremely frustrating.

I SOLVED THE ISSUE! I was able to get verified with my Government issued ID, the images I took were to close to the ID, hold the camera very still and with a dark background, I used a large grey mouse pad but any solid color probably would work. Leave space around the ID, like a whole ID size up above and bellow and the same around on each side. Good luck guys, try sending a ticket to SheerID if this doesn’t work.
