MCP Desktop Server not an option

Not seeing MCP Server option in Figma Desktop | Figma Forum I am having the exact same problem in the referenced conversation. I cannot find the option to enable the mcp server even though it is in a profession team’s project on a Dev Seat

You can connect the Figma MCP server in two ways:

  • Remote MCP server (preferred): Connects directly to Figma’s hosted endpoint at https://mcp.figma.com/mcp. You can learn how to install the remote MCP server.
  • Desktop MCP server:  For this option, please make sure you have toggled to the Dev Mode, then check in the right panel, click ‘Enable MCP Server’.

The Desktop MCP server runs locally through the Figma desktop app. You can learn in this article how to install the desktop MCP server. The desktop MCP server is primarily for specific use cases for organizations and enterprises. For the broadest set of features, we recommend using the remote MCP server.
