Make Kit - No components were extracted from this library

I have this problem too. My variables were carried over but none of my components were.

I am also having this problem!

Before I open a support ticket, I want to make sure we can get this reproduced. Could any of you help with the following?

• A full-size screen recording of the issue happening (most useful)
• Screenshots if a recording isn't doable
• Edit access to the affected file granted to support-share@figma.com so the team can poke at it directly (won't affect billing — just share from your Figma email)

Also don’t see my components. It doesn't show an error. It’s just a text line in the components.md file. Is there no direct components import from a figma design system to make kit or it must be included in a npm package?

​@Jaycee Lewis when I go to components.md nothing is populated, just says “No components were extracted from this library” at the bottom.

Hi,

I am facing a problem closely around this step. Once we Create a kit, using “Library Styles” and not the “NPM Package”, would it also pick up components from my library styles, such that when I prompt for a design in Figma Make, it will actually reference the actual components from that design system library.

I have been reading about this in Figma Make Kits page, but its not very clear, whether the components are also accessible using Library styles or we really need to download the npm package as well.
