Question

Layers missing after export

When exporting as PNG or JPG, only the base layer of my frame exports, even though all of the missing elements are in the frame and visible. I have to individually export frame by frame instead of batch exporting all frames on a page as I usually do.

I have had the exact same problem for a couple of weeks now. Random elements are missing. Restarting, reloading, clearing the cache… nothing helps.

Same here. It keeps happening to me. I exported 7 frames, each with a different headshot and only 2 of the headshots showed up. Each frame uses the same template and nested layer structure. So they should all export the same? I have to go back and export each frame individually, which is really time consuming especially when I have to export dozens of frames.

Hey All, thanks for flagging this issue and apologies for the lack of acknowledgement here!

If you are still having issues with missing layers when exporting, I would be sure to:

  • Check Nesting: Ensure all elements are actually inside the Frame in the Layers panel, not just floating on top of it on the canvas
  • Uncheck "Clip Content": If layers are outside the frame bounds and "Clip Content" is checked on the frame, they will be cut off
  • Verify Visibility: Ensure no layers are hidden (eye icon) or have 0% opacity
  • Fix Pixel Alignment: If exporting to PDF, elements not aligned to whole pixels may not render. You can use a plugin in the Community, such as Pixel Perfect or check and adjust x and y values
  • Flatten/Rasterize: If complex vector effects or blend modes are disappearing, right-click the layer and select "Flatten" or "Rasterize selection" before exporting

Please let me know if you continue to have issues after checking all of the following. And if you do, if you could share a URL link to your file with View access, I can also help get you connected with our technical quality team to investigate this further.
