I just started out with figma and using it on two different devices, but it my figma home screen stays in an eternal loading screen on one of these devices, it's not loading on a MacBook M1 8GB RAM. I tried restarting the machine, updating it, emptying browser cache, leaving all vpns, relogging, using desktop app and the browser one, nothing is working, but as soon as I use the other system, everything works fine. What could be the problem?

Hey @SergeBalliet — welcome to Figma Forum and thanks for flagging this. Sorry you’re running into loading issues, and thank you for troubleshooting so thoroughly! 💯

A few things to help narrow down the issues happening on this MacBook:

  • Can you open a file directly from a share URL (bypassing the home screen)?
  • Are you on Figma Desktop App version 125.7.5 or later?
  • Does this happen immediately on the home screen, or after selecting a specific product or setting? If possible, a brief video showing the issue would be super helpful.
  • Are you seeing any error messages in the browser or app?
  • Does deleting and reinstalling the Figma Desktop App on this device improve the performance?

If everything checks out and it’s still happening, our Product Support team can take a closer look. When you have a moment, please reach out to them and include:

  1. the link to this Forum thread for context
  2. a full-size screen recording of the issue (if possible).

Keep me posted on how it goes — we’ll work to get to the bottom of this! 🙏🏻
