Figma Make: Writing code is break and don't stop reasoning over and over

Alain_Priser1
I made a Figma Make which is quite complex (more than 2200 lines of code in the App.tsx file) and now when I want to add or change something, the code stops during writing, Figma make reasons then goes back into a code writing loop and starts again like this... Sometimes after several reasonings it arrives at something but it loses all the work already done up to that point... Please does anyone have a fix to rectify this? I would really appreciate some help

Hey @Alain_Priser1 — welcome to the Forum and thanks for surfacing this!

I’d love to get a bit more context so I can share your experience with the product team. Can you tell me more about your workflow, the kinds of prompts you’re using, and the steps leading up to the loop you mentioned?

It’d also be helpful for our Product Support team to take a closer look at the file itself. When you have a moment, could you reach out to them directly and include:

  • a link to this Forum thread for context
  • a full-size screen recording of the issue (if possible)
  • a link to the affected file
  • make sure support-share@figma.com has edit access.

With that info, we’ll be better positioned to dig in. Again, appreciate you bringing this up. 🙏🏻

Hi @Alain_Priser1 — I wanted to follow up with an update that may help with the issue you reported. A few other users mentioned similar behavior in another thread, and our engineering team is currently working on a fix.

In the meantime, here are a couple of steps that have helped others keep things moving:

  • Try drafting your prompt in notepad first, then copy and paste it into the Make textbox.
  • Duplicating the file and continuing from there has helped some users as a short-term solution.

Let me know if either of these help, or if you’ve noticed anything new. Thanks again for your patience as we continue improving based on community feedback.
