Figma Desktop crashing after reported fix (Make)

Hi ​@Shane Waters — thanks for sharing this, and I’m really sorry you’re still running into crashes. I checked on related reports and the internal status of this issue, and it does appear the original problem should now be resolved.

That said, it sounds like you may be hitting something slightly different. I’ve moved your post into its own thread so we can track this separately and make sure it gets the right attention.

To help narrow this down, could you share a bit more detail on the following?

It shows the reason as “Crashed”.  I will exit out of the app, launch the project again and make 3 or 4 requests which could be 3 or 4 sentence long each and it will simply crash after it thought about the request for 15 to 30 seconds.  I have even tried after it saved, to restart the project, not restart the app, to see if I could prevent the crash and it didn’t solve the issue.  Nothing on myside had changed since the release of the new version of Figma’s Desktop App.

Oh and one other thing to point out.  Not sure if it is a design flaw or symptom, but when I submit a request and it thinks for a few seconds and then crashes, the history shows no request when I launch the project again.  I’m not sure if my request made it thru or it was hung up on my side and that is what causes the crash.  Keep in mind, it could be a request to change a name of a field; like 8 words.

Can confirm i am having the same issues with the “Crash” on desktop application. same 3-4 prompts later it crashes after thinking and does not remember what it was doing after. very frustrating. happened after last update a few days ago...
