Figma AI Agent keeps failing with “Something went wrong” UUID errors

Iam

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with Figma Agent / Figma AI in design files and I wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.

I’m trying to use Figma Agent to analyze a website URL and help create visual ideas/illustrations for a website project. The prompt is not extremely complex anymore, but every attempt returns:

“Something went wrong”

with a UUID error ID.

So far I received these error IDs:

  • 5a94dcf7-e741-4fdc-affb-945bde7af615
  • 2e1e1446-5d05-450f-bfc6-e654aa148468
  • 93aab9ee-acb2-44f5-beeb-097ce2f93e1d

I checked the Figma status page and everything appears operational. I also tried both the browser version and the Figma desktop app, but the issue still happens.

I contacted Figma Support but haven’t received a response yet.

Has anyone else had the same “Something went wrong” UUID error with Figma Agent or Figma AI recently?
Any help or confirmation would be appreciated. Thanks!

I run into the same issue. Figma Agent didn’t work for me at all so far.

Update: After some time, the Agent produces results. But the error message keeps showing.

Hey @Elena_Schmolke1, thanks for reaching out!

Sorry you're running into this too, but we can try a couple of quick things first:

  1. Retry the prompt using the retry button if it's still showing.
  2. Refresh the file and try again.
  3. If it still fails, start a new thread using the + button in the top right corner of the chat rather than continuing in the same one.

If the error keeps coming up after that, it'd help a lot to get this in front of our support team directly so we can dig into what's happening on your file specifically. Could you reach out through our Support Hub and include:

  • Debug details, click the small circled "i" icon just below the chat that triggered the error, then Copy debug details and paste those into your message
  • A screenshot showing your chat prompt and the agent's response
  • View access to the impacted file, shared with support-share@figma.com- this won't impact your billing, and it lets our Support and Engineering teams reproduce the issue and investigate further

That'll give us everything we need to properly investigate. You can also check out our Work with the AI agent in Figma Design article for more on what's currently supported.

Let me know how it goes!

I’m also having this issue… it doesn’t happen right away. Usually the agent will work for quite some time, then suddenly show the “something went wrong” error. If I “try again,” it reverts all work it had accomplished. I generally have to simply dismiss the message, stop the agent, and tell it to continue so I don’t lose work.

Hey @pterisaur , Celine from Figma here, stepping in for @Tom Reem and @Gayani_S ! Thanks for sharing this additional detail!

It sounds like you're running into a similar issue, but with the added behavior that using "Try again" causes the agent to lose its previous progress. That's definitely helpful context.

You may find our Troubleshoot in Figma Make article helpful, as it covers some of the more common issues and troubleshooting steps.

If the issue persists, please submit a report through the Support Hub and include the debug details, screenshots, and file access requested in the earlier reply from @Gayani_S . It would also be helpful to mention that the error typically occurs after the agent has been working for some time, and that selecting "Try again" causes the previous work to be lost. That additional context will help our team investigate your specific case alongside the other reports. Thanks!

I’m facing similar issue as well. I’ve been using the figma Ai Agent for my team’s product mvp design. However, today, the design output became less polished, it struggles with using my design system assets, and kept hitting some kind of server error as seen in the image attached.

Meanwhile, the main chat i started with, containing most of the context (even though it has forgotten most of the conversation and i keep reuploading the prd) has stopped working completely and kept shwoing the error message and try again prompt.

Hey @Abdulhakeem Muhammed — thanks for flagging this and sorry you're running into it, too. The screenshot helps.

Have you had a chance to try what @Gayani_S and @Celine_ shared above? Since your main chat is failing consistently, it's worth trying @Gayani_S’s suggestion of starting a new chat rather than continuing in that one.

If you've already been through those steps, the fastest way forward is for us to look at your file directly. Share it with support-share@figma.com with view access (this won't affect your billing) and send a bug report through the Support Hub. If we can review the file along with the error message, our engineers can investigate the exact call that failed.

On the design system assets — that's separate from the server error. If you haven't already, connect the library through Add context, then type @ to reference the specific components you want. Learn more about this in our Work with the Figma agent in design files guide, as that helps the agent use your design system more effectively. If it's still skipping them, let me know.

Abdulhakeem Muhammed

Hi @Tom Reem , thanks for the prompt feedback. Yeah I tried @Gayani_S  and @Celine_ suggestion prior to dropping my concerns here, the result was same. Meanwhile, few hours after my comment here, things came back to normal. But then, I’ve exhausted my credit, which caught me by surprise, considering the fact that i thought Figma was giving us unlimited access to the the Figma Ai agent to stress-test it while still in beta.

I’ve written back to the team, hopefully i will be granted more credits to finish up my work.

Cheers

Issue with Figma Agent While Modifying Design Concept

Hi Figma Support Team,

I am facing an issue with the Figma Agent while chatting with it to modify a design concept inside my Figma design file.

Issue:

The agent is not able to complete the requested design modification and is showing an error. The message asks me to share the Support ID so the exact session can be traced.

Support ID:

srid_EEJBZ09NZN81V92G02GG72BQY

What I tried:

- Retried the prompt

- Refreshed the Figma file

- Started a new Agent thread

-Have full credits

- Checked that I have access to the file

Additional context:

I am using the Figma Agent for UX concept refinement and design modification. The issue is blocking my ability to continue refining the design through the agent.

Please help investigate this session and advise how to resolve it.

Hey @Lavee , thanks for the detailed report and for already sharing the Support ID and troubleshooting steps you've tried.

Since you've retried the prompt, refreshed the file, started a new Agent thread, and confirmed that you have available credits and access to the file, I'd like our team to take a closer look at what happened with this specific Agent session.

I've gone ahead and created a support ticket on your behalf so our team can investigate further. Please check directly your inbox: lxxxe.gxxxxa@mxxxd.xxm , your case number is #2069599. You can continue the conversation directly with the team. Please also share the URL of the affected Figma file and grant Can View access to support-share@figma.com, if possible. This will give the team additional context to reproduce and investigate the issue. Thanks for taking the time to provide all these details!
