Couldn't load Make. Try checking your network connection or refreshing the page. (M2)

Best answer by Gayani_S

Hey everyone, I’ve got great news!

The issue should now be fixed, please refresh or restart Figma to ensure you're on the latest version.

If you’re still unable to load Make previews, it’s likely due to network restrictions. Check your network settings and make sure required domains are allowlisted (you may need help from your IT team). The network settings modal can also help identify any blocked requests.

Let me know if the fix resolves your issue!

Hi both, thanks for reporting this and for confirming that you're seeing the same Couldn't load Make. Try checking your network connection or refreshing the page. (M2) message.

To help us narrow down what might be causing this, could you please check a few things for me?

  • Are you connected through any VPN, proxy, or network security tools ?
  • If possible, could you try switching to a different network or temporarily disabling the VPN/proxy to see if the issue persists?
  • If you're using the browser, could you try disabling any browser extensions to see if that changes the behaviour?

Can you please try opening these two links and let us know if the pages load showing "OK" on the screen or if they load blank?

  1. https://check-network-compatibility.figma.site/
  2. https://check-network-compatibility.makeproxy-c.figma.site/

If either of these links load blank, can your IT team please ensure that Figma's domains (listed below) are explicitly allow-listed as described in Adjust your network settings?

    • *.figma.com
    • *.figma.site
    • *.makeproxy-c.figma.site
    • *.makeproxy-m.figma.site
    • *awswaf.com
    • esm.sh
    • jsdelivr.net

You can also run a quick network diagnostic directly in your Make file:

  1. Click the question mark icon (?) in the bottom-right corner
  2. Select “Check Network Settings”

This will show whether your network is properly configured or if any domains are being blocked. More details here:https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/19424714305943-Adjust-your-network-settings

Thanks again for flagging this and helping us investigate. Once you’ve had a chance to check the steps above, feel free to share what you find and I’ll be happy to continue helping from there.

It works previously with the same company network configuration. The issue is related for .make files only and I am blocked from working on Figma...

Hi, the issue is not solved. Can someone from  support look on it? support-share@figma.com

Hey @Michael Levin!

I’ve gone ahead and created a support ticket for you so the team can properly investigate what’s going on. Your ticket number is #1808580, for reference. They should follow up as soon as possible.

Appreciate your patience in the meantime!

Hey @Mohamedkhader, thanks for sharing the screenshots!

The two domains *.figma.site and *.makeproxy-c.figma.site being blocked will likely be what's causing the trouble you’re seeing so you would need to double check your firewall settings/reach out to your ISP/IT Team to check these domains are allowlisted.
You wouldn't necessarily see these issue in other files as these domains are only used either by Make & sites.

You can also refer to our Help Center article Adjust your network settings, which outlines all the domains that need to be allowlisted for Figma to work properly.

Hope this helps!

Has anyone figured out what causes this. I have never had this issue, was working perfectly fine the entire day, and then suddenly this happened...
