Bulk upload images not working on Figma Buzz

So here is what I am trying to do. I have mailer in which there is no change in the content but there is an image with a QR code. Now I have to add 10 different QR codes.

For that I am following below steps:

  1. Generate QR codes as PNG
  2. Add those PNG in an excel file, ensuring each image is paste in a cell (as per the guidelines)
  3. On Figma Buzz, in the bulk create I uploaded the file
  4. After uploading, it shows the column but content is been shown as text (Refer screenshot)
  5. When I select an image the data field remains disabled, but when I select a text layer it gets enabled and when I create assets it just adds text Object

I have tried the same with google sheets but facing the same issue.

    Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention! Our product team confirmed this was indeed an unexpected behavior and has deployed a fix. The issue should now be resolved.

    Could you please reload your tabs and try uploading again? I've tested this on my end and can confirm it's working normally now

    Hi, 

    Im still having this problem, I’m using google sheets to make my document and then exporting as an .xlsx file (how i’ve always used this since buzz came out) and it is acting like the image is a text field and i cant click on it to replace the images. Help please need this working ASPA to get a job done.

    Hi, has this been solved? I have previous files that worked fine that are no longer working and the image field is greyed out when I try to use bulk create. It would be great to get some support on this as I have some large jobs I need to complete. Cheers. (I have posted on my personal due to client sensitivity).

    Really sorry you’re running into this, especially with work depending on it. This issue has come up before and was fixed:

    A few things to double check:

    • Make sure you’re uploading an .xlsx file (images won’t work in CSV)
    • Confirm the images are inserted directly into the cells (not via links or formulas)
    • Ensure the layer you’re mapping in Buzz is an image fill, as image fields won’t connect to text or other layer types

    If all of that looks right and it’s still not working, the team would like to investigate doing the following steps: 

    • Go to the Support Hub
    • Type “Report a bug”
    • Click Start a chat and press Enter
    • Then fill out the form
