Bug: Copy and paste of images doesn't work

Hi everyone,

 

since the last update I’m experiencing issues with the copying of images into other frames. It seems like the image isn’t stored in cache.

 

Does anyone know how to fix it?

      You can add all the AI features you want, but if the most basic functionality doesn’t work, it completely undermines everything else. This has been extremely frustrating and constantly breaks my flow while designing.

      This is a simple, expected interaction. The fact that it isn’t working makes the product feel unreliable rather than innovative.

      For context, I’ve already updated apps and browsers, cleared cache, and gone through all the standard troubleshooting steps. This shouldn’t require workarounds. It should just work.

      Please fix this.

      I completely understand your frustration, and you are correct basic functionalities should simply work for our users consistently, a expected. 

      May I ask what OS are you using? And how are you trying to copy and paste images into Figma? 

      With these details, we can pass this along to our team to try and reproduce the issue. I just tested this on my macOS device using the desktop app and a Google Chrome browser. I’ve tried to copy and paste using the right-click menu, the shortcuts Cmd + C and Cmd + V, as well as dragging and dropping images from my desktop.

      Everything is working as expected on my end, so I would love to get more details from you on the exact device and steps our team should be taking to try and replicate the issue that you are experiencing.

      ​@djv It’s macOS Sequoia 15.7.4  and to your question of how I am copy pasting, I have done it in all ways possible, drag and drop, cmd + c/x, cmd V, right click.
