Hi all I’m running into the problem of my text not changing if I change my component. Let me run you through the steps I’ve taken: I have a component ‘Wizard step’ with 2 variants for a step indication. Tested this, if I change my text and then change the variant, it remembers the text. Awesome so far. Now I make a component ‘Wizard flow’ with 4 of these steps, because I will use the steps on different frames and I want the texts and prototype noodles to be the same from all these frames. Now I use the ‘Wizard flow’ on my 4 frames. I override the variant of the ‘Wizard step’ to indicate which step is done or not done. Again, so far, so good. But now, if I want to change the naming of my steps in my ‘Wizard flow’ component. What happens is that it only takes it over in the steps where I did not change the variant of the ‘Wizard step’. In the frames where the variant was changed, the old text is still visible. I had a complex setup for making wizard steps with many more variant

Hello, I'm a product designer and I recently had an accident and amputated my left arm. I would like to know if you have a tutorial on how to work only with the mouse. What I missed the most was when duplicating a variant to display the properties (Alt + mouse drag).

Is there some special trick to get Make to display images? I’ve tried importing image files, copying and pasting as png from Figma Design, pasting frames from Design…it will work for 1 or 2 prompts, and then I’ll get a broken image. 

Hello Figma,I’m facing two challenging issues with the Replace Content feature:  In a table column, when I insert a cell and duplicate it across other cells in the same column, after pressing the Replace Content option, it not only changes the name but also adds an empty link to it. My problem is: why does it add an empty link? I just want it to place text, not link everything to blank pages. When I duplicate a cell into other cells of a column and ask it to rename them, sometimes it behaves poorly and makes only very minor changes. Even though I specifically ask it to fully change the text, it doesn’t seem to understand and does its own thing.  Thanks.

I’m publishing my site that was built using Figma Make. The DNS is already connected, but the issue is that the latest version of my site is not being pushed live. Hello everyone!I’ve been exploring Figma for a while now and have been practicing different designs for both mobile and desktop screens. This time, I wanted to try something new and chose a self-ordering kiosk design for a fictional restaurant. Basically, I’m aiming for a countertop ordering terminal.Right now, I’m a bit unsure about the correct frame size for this type of design. I went with 1920×1080 for now, but I’m not sure if that’s ideal.My second question is about the font size. What would be the most suitable sizes for such a layout?  I’m working on the first three screens right now: a start screen (to begin an order) and another for selecting between take-out and dine-in. After that comes the first menu overview, where I’ll definitely need smaller fonts to fit more information, unlike the two before.Could anyone share some advice on the best frame and font sizes for this kind of kiosk setup? Am I the only one who is totally confused as how the “Import from Figma” dialog window in Figma Make works? It shows only some files but not others, don’t know why. The text search is completely random IMO and you’re not able to select a specific page or a frame in the file - it just selects some random frame from a file.Why cannot I just browse all my projects and select a particular file and frame?From what I understood, selecting the design through this dialog is somehow superior to just copying and pasting a particular frame into the prompt. Figma Make is then able to extract more detailed information. Copying & pasting is just like a screenshot, I guess?

Changing font weights within the same text box in Figma no longer works as expected.Previously, mixed weights showed “Mixed” in the typography panel, but now it shows “Select a font weight” and fails to apply different weights.

Hey everyone,I’ve been testing a custom React component on a Figma Site (built with Figma’s new code components / figma:react), and I’m having trouble tracking clicks with Google Analytics 4 (GA4).Here’s what I’ve done so far: Added my GA4 Measurement ID (e.g. G-XXXXXXX) in Site settings → Analytics Confirmed that the gtag script is loading properly (I can see gtag() in the console) Added a simple component that fires an event on click: if (window.gtag) { window.gtag("event", "cta_button_click", { content_type: "cta_button", button_text: "Get Started", }); } The console shows the log correctly on click, but nothing appears in GA4 → Realtime → Events or DebugView. It feels like the event is being called in a sandboxed context where analytics can’t actually send data out — maybe due to how Figma Sites handle scripts or iframes?Has anyone managed to successfully track custom GA4 events inside Figma Sites yet?If yes, how did you make it work? I’ve enabled Google Analytics in a Figma Site that I launched about a month ago and I’m able to see Users and Page Views, but not the Engagement Time. Is there a way to fix this or is it a know issue?

I’ve built a component, added a bunch of instances of said component to my layout, and now decided to change one of the font styles in the component. So I go back to the main component, make the change and…nothing. I can’t get all the instances of the component to reflect the change. I also tried changing font size. Same thing. No changes to the instances of the component. Tried color. That works! I can change the color! But not anything else. Is there a way to force these font size/style to change throughout the instances?

When changing an icon’s color in a button component, the color change doesn’t appear on the buttons where the icon has been instance swapped. This was still working yesterday, and I tested it on several projects with different icon sets.

I keep getting a “403 - "{\"status\":403,\"err\":\"Invalid token\"}"” also via Postman when trying to send an HTTP request and use the REST API. Any solutions to this?  

Recently, tap-to-click interactions have been broken in FigJam for me. I first noticed it 4 weeks ago and again it re-emerged this week. Observation: tap-to-click is not working. I have to use the button of my trackpad to select something. Troubleshooting:I’ve confirmed tap-to-click is working in other apps on my computer I’ve quit and re-opened the Figma desktop app I’ve toggled all settings and see no changeHas anyone else noticed this? It’s leading me to explore other whitebaord options that support my interaction patterns 

I have tried verifying 10+ times, I have contacted SheerID and they say the image of my government ID is not “Clear” I have tried uploading images of it as clear as possible, I have uploaded digital copy of the id straight from government portal and still that is not “clear’’I have run out of verification limit twice, The only prerequisite of being a student is College mail and college ID SheerID cant even verify that. education@figma.com was of no help either. Said that only sheerID can help.

Hello Figma Team,I’m a student at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (Graphic and Web Design, expected graduation 2027). For my coursework, I need access to a project in Figma that my professor invited me to. Unfortunately, I’ve been completely blocked by SheerID’s broken verification process.Here’s what happened: I entered all my details correctly (school, program, dates, etc.). SheerID didn’t respond for days and then simply closed my case, saying they “were unable to process the request.” I offered multiple times to provide documents (passport, student ID, enrollment confirmation), even to join a video call - they just ignored this. I have reached out to Figma support several times, but every time I only get the same response: “Please contact SheerID.” But what am I supposed to do if SheerID does not reply and simply ignores my requests?   This is absolutely unprofessional behavior on SheerID’s side. I’m trying to find the CSS properties in dev tools for the glass effect, but can’t find any styles related to it at all. How do I share this with devs? There’s nothing as much as even a background blur mentioned. the only styles I can find are border radius and bg color, both of which I applied to my comp, and are not related to the glass effect at all. All help is much appreciated. TIA

Sometimes some load, sometimes others load… But this glitch has been happening for a while in all our folders. It’s quite frustrating to find folders quickly this way. Any one else?

If I have an element under an absolute in the layout, I can click on the element under that absolute, which is very annoying. I have multiple simultaneous clicks in my prototype.

Hi! Has the canvas panning keyboard shortcuts changed recently? I use Ctrl+Space+scroll wheel to pan and zoom the canvas but now that keyboard shortcut puts me into a Keyboard picking mode. Is this new? It really gets in the way of working.
