Hi Community,We’re experiencing an issue with Figma variables after exporting design tokens via Token Studio and would appreciate your help.Setup:We maintain all our design tokens in a Google Sheet. This sheet is connected to Token Studio, and we regularly push and pull changes between the sheet and Token Studio. We then export these tokens from Token Studio to Figma as variables (and styles). Problem:After exporting, many variables or styles in Figma appear as broken (showing a question mark icon).Although the variables still exist, their values are not correctly resolved (see screenshot). I’m experiencing slow loading times when previewing my website designs on mobile, especially when using the Figma mobile app or opening shared prototype links. The desktop preview works fine, but on mobile the pages take several seconds to load, and sometimes interactions lag or don’t respond smoothly. I’ve checked my device, internet connection, and file size, but the issue still appears. I’m wondering if this is a common problem or something related to my setup. Has anyone found a reliable fix or optimization method to improve mobile preview performance?

I subscribed to the Professional plan with monthly billing, based on the information provided during signup. However, after giving edit access to a few collaborators, I was charged additional full seat fees for each person added.What surprised me is that simply granting edit access to files automatically added those users as paid team members and charged the full seat amount. This behavior was not clearly communicated when I subscribed, nor was it obvious on the plan details or pricing pages that every editor added would incur a full seat charge.Because this information wasn’t clearly disclosed upfront, the charges came as an unexpected surprise. I’m working on some mobile app mockups with very few frames in the prototype trying to test a few gestures. When I load it onto my phone using the mobile app it runs very poorly. I thought it might be image sizes so I compressed them by exporting them at the right size and still terrible performance. Then I removed the images entirely and just used vector shapes, still awful. I am running it on a Pixel 7 Pro with the app updated. I have deleted and redownloaded the app and used new files with just simple frames. Nothing seems to make the Figma app work well. Is there a better way to test mobile gestures on a device with touch? PS. I saw other topics like this one Here that is very similar to my issues from a year ago with no solutions.

Hello. I'm happy to be working with Figma Make. They're definitely the best in this field! However, I have a question. What exactly does "Until then, we aren't charging for exceeding Full seat limits" mean? Does it mean that even though I've exceeded the 3500 limit on my PRO subscription, I won't be charged extra? But why? I've already exceeded the limits. There won't be any surprise charges, right? (I used Translate. Sorry for any grammatical errors.) 

The so far generated designs are not showing up in the preview panel. Refer the attached screenshot for the reference.

I can't go back to a specific point in time or restore.When I restore to a previously saved location, Safe Mode pops up. After confirming and going to the restore point, it takes a long time to load and then asks me to refresh. When I restore again, Safe Mode pops up and the above message repeats.I need to restore. I was building my portfolio in Figma sites. I have a EDU license and I was really happy to find out that now Figma have password protection per page. Everything was working fine, but strangely enough of my 6 pages, only one is being password protected, I don’t know why, doesn't make any sense. Initially I though, oh well, maybe just one can be protected, but NO! I was using in all of them, and it was working. What is even more strange is that only ONE SPECIFIC page can be protected. Am I missing something? Any configuration or something that I did to cause this? Please help!!!!!! Thank you very much

I have been trying to re-verify my education status with my college credential. I had first contacted SheerId, they kept talking about school issued email id which is irrelevant to my case and asked me to contact official Figma support to verify my “Higher Ed” profile. So did I. Figma then replied to ask SheerId about the authentication process. I need help in this matter, please.This conversation happened between the end of October and the start of November 2025.

I have lost access to my email [redacted by forum moderator to remove PII] and would like it to be updated to a new email  so I can access all of my files. And the AI chat box is no help.. Thanks,

I’m exporting PDFs from Figma and noticing a big size jump when using Inter.Example:• 1-page PDF with Inter font ≈ 1 MB• Same page with different font ≈ ~450 KBThis feels large for a single text-heavy page.Does anyone know why only inter does this?

 The browser will reload the entire screen in black once, the hackers execute something, and the whole Chromebook blacks out and back in, and then now WebGL error shows up. I cannot load the Figma files in the Chrome browser. The abuse form doesn't work either. Ever. Figma is really hackable. Any fixes?

Asking because my dev team is having trouble locating exact screens they need because the keywords they are searching include items and strings that are cropped out/not visible in the frame. The component is not hidden, just cropped out. Is it possible to search ONLY visible elements in a frame? This would exclude components hidden behind larger ones and also cropped components. I tried searching for plugins and didn’t see this type of question surface yet. I get that it’s probably a super niche case so any kind of answers would be appreciated

Hello guys! I’m building a plugin for my design team that uses the isAsset() function. In one part, my plugin exams all nested children within a given node and returns whether each children is an asset.The function is doing a pretty good job recognizing icons but I ran into some issues with nested components. For example in the screenshot below, the isAsset() function returns true for two layers within the Instagram component, but only one within the facebook component. There were also a few times that running the function on the same component returns different results. Does anyone have similar experience? Is there a workaround to this?

Using my work account I would like to leave a comment on a plugin. However, I do not care to have my full first and last name displayed on the internet. I’ve changed my work name previously but it always gets changed back by my company. Can I have a nickname that will only show up for the public facing interface and not my company interface. I had to create a new personal account just so my full first and last name would not display when adding comments on plugins.

I created a file and sent out a link for dev on Nov. 30th. Since then I have made updates to the file. Suddenly, the link I provide comes up empty and the file is missing. However, there are 3 copies. One is more of a starter file and the other two only show a version history of Nov. 30th and neither have the recent updates. I did not delete the original file nor make the copies, at least not that I’m aware of. I guess i’m going to edit one of the copies and go from there but would love to know how this happened. Anyone have any clue?

My other account has been suspended as well. I already reported the issue to the official support team by email, but it still hasn’t been resolved. I have many important files in that account, and the suspension has seriously disrupted my work and caused significant financial losses. I’d really appreciate your help in resolving this as soon as possible.

Whenever I create an annotation on an image, the image edit bottom floating bar appears and if I write anything on the annotation containing the letter “Q”, Figma takes it as the shortcut for “Select area” and the annotation disappears. Help! I'm currently experimenting with our design system library file. Whenever I select a library in Figma, the generated global CSS changes. However, when I add our library, the generated global CSS doesn't reflect our color variables, typography styles, or effects defined in Figma.How can I generate a proper global CSS that accurately uses the color variables, font styles, and effects from our actual Figma library?
