When clicking AND RELEASING on the layer visibility icon, the app will behave as if I were holding down click and any layer I mouse over will toggle visibility. Just began today July 30, 2026, so whatever this newest version of Figma windows desktop is. Currently having to use keyboard shortcut to toggle visibility states.

Same here. Started experiencing it on Figma desktop (win) all of a sudden. I am on an urgent task now and I can’t work like this... Please and please and please fix it as soon as possible!

Have an issue that started today where if I click to lock or hide a layer in a ‘Design’ window and then move my mouse not holding the button down, it then starts locking or hiding any layer the mouse icon moves over. No idea why it's doing it. Or if I've adjusted a setting!

Does anyone have any idea why it’s doing it?

Same thing happening here. It's very frustrating when trying to work!

When I toggle the visibility (eye icon) of any layer in the Layers panel, and then just move my cursor over other layers, their visibility automatically changes (they hide or show) as if I clicked on them This happens in all files and even after reinstalling the app, It started after the recent update. post scriptum: This issue affects all binary toggles in the Layers panel - visibility (eye icon) and lock (padlock icon) When I hover over any layer after toggling one, the corresponding action (hide/show or lock/unlock) applies automatically.

I just noticed that in addition to the visibility toggle, the same behavior is happening with the lock layer toggle.

Hello everyone! Thank you all for your patience while our team investigated the issue. This has now been resolved - you’ll want to refresh if you are using the browser, and make sure you’re using the latest version of the desktop app (go ahead and reload your tabs if you already are). Let us know if you have any issues!

Thank you for the quick turnaround on this! I was able to verify that this is fixed on my end, at least! Hopefully the same is true for everyone else as well!

Shutting down and restarting the desktop app worked for me. That was driving me nuts. 😩
