Not able to rotate gradients when I add the swatches from the Variables

I am not able to rotate gradients when I add the swatches from the Variables, however if they are not linked to the variables there’s no issue.

Hey All, thank you for continuing to report this issue!

I was able to reproduce the issue, so I’ve created a bug report and passed this topic along to our team.

Just as all of you have called out, when attempting to rotate gradients from the Styles list (nothing selected from the canvas), I am not able to rotate gradients either.

As also mentioned by other community members above, as a temporary solution, you can still rotate your gradients if you select the individual object from your canvas.

To be completely transparent, most of our team is offline for Winter Break, but I will provide any updates I can once I hear back from the team. Hope the temporary solution helps in the meantime!

Pls translate from portguese:
Eu consegui passar por cima do problema clicando no botão (veja a imagem no canto inferior direito destacado em azul) aplicar efeitos e estilos onde apareceu a seleção do gradiente exatamento no objeto que eu estava mexendo.
então
1. Clique no botão de aplicar efeitos:

  1.  Vai aparecer a ordem dos gradientes:
    1. Só clicar em cada bolinha, alterar e ser feliz:

Same issue. When trying to adjust the gradient direction to an already created gradient style, I am unable to. I can unlink the style and then adjust the gradient direction, but can not edit the base style at all.

Using the “gradient rotate” tool does not work for me as I need to adjust the gradient rotation direction in a minute increment.

Hey @Junko3
Did you find a solution for this matter?

The issue is the following:
The rotation of a gradient can not be edited after a style has been created.
Ideally I would like to have the rotation pulled from variables, so I can build my DS Tokens including the rotation.

The old “solution” was to “apply the style → doubleclick into the style → edit roation → update style”
This solution does not work anymore, since editing a style will detach it permanently.

Thanks kindly for updates

Hey, @SteffMueller and everyone else - stepping in for @Junko3.

That’s unfortunate that the previous solution isn’t an option for you. I’m checking with our team on the status of the bug - I assume that it hasn’t been resolved yet but I’ll see if I can get more information. In the meantime, would creating a new style work as a temporary solution? It might not be practical for one-off rotations, but if you are using a rotated version more frequently then it might make sense to make an additional style.
