I’m trying to copy/reuse some components that have Dev Mode annotations, but I want to reuse them to create another type of component, so the current annotations don’t really match the new component and I would just like to remove all annotations all together, but couldn’t find how to do it yet.

Is it even possible? If so, how can I do that? 🥸

Hey @Benilio! Yes, you can delete/remove annotations – see here.

Just one note: you need to have a full design seat in order to edit any annotations, so if you have a Dev Mode seat, you’ll only be able to view.

Looking for solution to the same problem. Let me try and explain it in a bit more detail.

Annotations get copied when I copy a frame. If the original frame has 10 annotations, the copy also has the same 10 annotations, whether I want them or not. I am looking for a way to delete all the annotations together, without having to do it one by one.

This is critically missing feature to remove all annotations or to paste without annotations. You simply do not want to always copy the annotations when copying a frame, e.g. when you’re creating variants or new views based on the original. I think the most elegant way would be to add the action “Remove all annotations” for selected Frame to the top Edit menu.

Agree…. I removed the annotations from my master component and republished it, but this still didnt remove the hundreds of annotations on my other instances. I even copied one instance that didnt have ay annotations, and then paste-to-replaced all the others, but the annotations were still there.
