I can't copy and paste images from finder to Figma, whenever I copy the image from and try to paste in the figma it is just pasting the file name as a text

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. It seems to be functioning properly on my end. Could you please double-check if you’ve copied the file correctly? Sometimes, simply restarting your laptop or closing and reopening the Figma app can resolve such issues.
