How do I cancel my monthly subscription?

Canceling my subscription is difficult and disgusting on Figma’s end. This will destroy customer loyalty. 

Hi, this is what I have received from the support team, and for now I have cancelled it (the next renewal will not count, at least this is what they have claimed):

You can cancel the Professional subscription from your team settings, and you’ll keep access to Professional features until the end of the current billing period; canceling does not delete your account. Source

1️⃣ In the file browser sidebar, locate your Professional team.
2️⃣ Select Admin.
3️⃣ Select the Settings tab.
4️⃣ In the Plan section, select Cancel plan.
5️⃣ Choose the cancellation reason, then select Cancel plan to confirm.

If you also want to remove the team after canceling, say so and I’ll outline those steps too.

They are using the so-called ‘obstruction’ (or ‘roach motel’) dark pattern to hide the unsubscribe page. For upgrading you need only less than 1 minute, but for degrading you might need more than 20 minutes, and you will have to contact the support email to find out the answer; the cancellation page is well hidden, and normally people would never go to the 'admin' page to cancel a subscription. It’s a trick used by so many companies to make unsubscribing harder than it should be. Shame.

After searching for 15 minutes, I finally found it. But I will never subscribe to Figma again.

Disgusting how hard you make this cancellation. This not even a dark patter, it’s malicious. Shame on your company. 

I can understand why that would be frustrating. Subscription options and AI features can be confusing, especially if you expected generated designs to be fully editable in Figma Design. If the cancellation option isn't working, I'd recommend reaching out to Figma Support directly with your account details—they should be able to check your subscription and help stop future charges if everything is eligible. Hopefully you get it sorted out quickly.
 

Hey!!, Here i found the way to cancel your figma subscription, here is the way

Step 1: On the Left Hand Side, Click on the Admin

Step 2: Then after a new window will open, at there look at the left hand side menu. here click on the  Settings

Step 3: After you an another window will open, inside their look for the Cancel Plan under Plan heading, now click on the ‘Cancel Plan’

Step 4: A new dialogue will pop up that describe your current running plan with downgrade to starter and stay on professional option. now click on the Downgrade to Starter after it will ask for confirmation, once approved your plan would be cancel.

Figuring out how to cancel has taken me quite a lot of time.

For me cancelling required that I change my plan from anual to monthly, then I had to change my seat from Pro to View.

It felt like if i was dealing with some random software built to steal your money rather than an established, global enterprise.

Well, I’m glad its now cancelled. it felt good to cancel after that to be honest.
